The song and fireworks were alrighty kind of overwhelming to me emotion wise considering what we avoided, but finding that’s why the dog was played really put it over the top for me.

Nearly two years ago, I was on my computer, trying to distract myself from the agonizing four days of counting electoral college r votes. Then my brother came running down the stairs, screaming at the top of his lungs that Joe Biden won the election. To this day I still can’t describe the tremendous weight I felt lift off of my shoulders knowing that four years of one of the worst presidencies in our history was finally coming to an end.
Then we watched this later that night, and I saw my mom cry as Kamala Harris said that she would be the first female VP. I could tell this was a moment that was incredibly significant for her, as well as all the women across America.
I found out when I was just on my phone in the living room and I looked up for one second and I’m too shocked to even speak and then I scream upstairs to my parents to come down and see that Biden won the election. I’ll never forget that day as well
I found out when my mother and I were in Delaware for the day, a few miles from the victory party. We sat down for lunch, and my phone rang, my grandmother called and said that my home state of PA was called for Biden! I then told my mom and we both broke down into tears of joy!
