I got the GTRS w900 with the footswitch, this seems like a neat way to package it all outside of a guitar. I currently only own that one guitar, so i don't need it, but i hope Mooer keeps expanding that entire line/idea
I bought one. Overall it's a good ultra-portable all-in-one solution, and I'll definitely put it in my guitar gigbag and take it to rehearsals and small cafe gigs. I was comparing it with Pod Express, and I got S1 because it has more foot switches. Tone-wise, I'm not really found of it especially cleans can't get good chime, but it's still usable. Hardware-wise, I wish it had AUX input and loop back function for live streaming.
With regard to the effects switching, create a bank with 4 identical setups, then change each footswitch to disable the effects you want to disable. Or enable different ones. Then it's like switching off andvon. Obviously cannonly havevthree per bank as 1 is your "standard" mode.
On the pedalboard mode, you can actually do that (turn on and off pedals individually) with the addition of an GWF4, which makes it really appealing to me personally. I already own a P1 and a GWF4, so I will be upgrading to an S1 (instead of the P2) just because of that feature, the extra foot switches and the IR loading capability.
I think something like this would be great if it allowed for programmed/external sync automation... it would eliminate the need for "pedal board mode" entirely, because then it could switch presets and enable/disable blocks as needed via midi. It has tempo mapping for the tap functions, so just allowing the import of midi maps, or the ability to use midi over bluetooth/widi would be great.
For me, as a bassist and lover of minimalism, the perfect form factor would be this with just one button. Basically like a P1/P2 but stompable, so that I could activate the tuner/mute with my foot, not being dependent on my phone screen to tune and not having to fiddle with a touchscreen while gigging. Can you tell the guys at Mooer to create this kind of iteration? 😊
Yes the Tank-G looks like a good alternative with the same 4-footswich design. The only dealbreaker it has is that it doesn't have a separate distortion/OD module for deeper tone shaping. The ANN tech might be something but I find it inadequate compared to a dirt pedal + amp setup.
I have the P1 + F4; P2 (which can use the F4) and S1. I wish the S1 had an expression pedal input, and effects that could be controlled by the expression pedal. The S1 should also be able to use the F4, especially in the pedal board mode you mentioned, increasing the number of foot switches to 8. Not a deal breaker, but instead of an effects loop, I'd rather have XLR DI stereo out. My whole reason for using the S1 is for a very small, decent sounding, grab and go rig, not integrated into a larger rig. At that point, I'd just bring my Helix Floor. Cheers!
I was super impressed with the Mooer GE Labs iOS app back when it dropped, and used it with my Orange OMEC teleport thru my stereo to practice. Recently I was gifted a Fractal FM3 MkII by a longtime friend and mentor, soo... Yeah! Although, the Prime S1 looks great for small carry on sessions, or when gigging in rather (ahem) say we say? Sketchy venues where gear theft could be a problem. Definitely looking to get one. Great demo Mi Amigo! Cheers!
Salamat sa review sir Perf. About sa pedalboard feature, I think it is already possible using the GWF4 Wireless Footswitch. Pwede mo siya i-pair sa Prime S1 and use that as on/off switch sa mga effects (mod, od, delay, amp, etc.).
Satisfied ako sa Mooer effects, I have 2 guitar pedal from Mooer, one is the Black secret and the other one is the Ninety Orange.. Talk about color coding hehe
Got one!! Still learning it but love it. Need the extra foot switch though. It does have pedal board mode, but without the other footswitch it doesn't work.($50 extra...gonna get one of these next)
So far of the mooer stuff I’ve seen both you and other channels explore these using at Namm recording direct on the go I def think it’s on my list when traveling again and want to record direct especially with effects. My Zoom H5n captured the guitar from the amps well but when it’s not a situation like that this would be handy! This Prime S1 sounds really great, Thanks for the demo of it Perf!
Hello! Thanks for the video! You really saved me by showing that third party IRs can be charged. I have a big question, where is a complete manual? For example, nowhere does it appear how many kHz the IRs should be, I deduce that for Mooer it is 44.1kHz. But I don't understand how such important information does not appear in the tiny manual or in the specifications on the website. Nothing. Likewise, I imagine the amps, cabs, and drives are based on real devices. Thanks to the factory presets you can deduce some intuitive names and their sound obviously. However, I can't believe there isn't a decent manual with this information. I need to know, for example, which of the drives is the Bluesbreaker type, which is the Klon type, the Tubescreamer is deductible, which is the 808. I hope you understand my questions. I don't speak English. Greetings!!
Hi, great video! I'm a beginner, I've been playing for just under a year, and I've been looking for information to buy my first pedalboard. The fact that you can control everything through the app made me very interested in the Prime S1 and Prime P2. I found both models for a very similar price in a store here in Brazil, but because it's in another city I can't go to the store and test both. Considering that the price is very similar, what do you consider to be the best option for a complete beginner in effects and amps and cabs? Another option I considered was the Ampero Mini, but the Mooer app seems more intuitive to me.
Yes they can be bypassed and you can program ampless presets to work with the Revv efx loop, but you’re switching presets for every little change instead of clicking on/off an efx block within a preset in pedalboard mode
I really need your help on this device plus an amp, would the positive grid spark mini be a good amp for this device? I wish to travel and play the guitar elsewhere other than my room, that's the idea. But I'm still okay with playing from my room, any suggestions? For outdoors and/or indoor playing.
Hello i'm trying to connect P1 to the Windows mooer studio but it's not possible . Could You tell me if it's possible with this model do this . To import 3rd party irs ? Thanks
If I’m understanding correctly, the S1 can use amp sims from the Prime App, or are there amp sims built in? If so, how many? I don’t need the looper/drums, just looking for something like the Tank G that has built in amps and IRs. Something small to use for open mic where you can’t bring your 100 watt Recto. Anybody compare the two? I just got the Tank G yesterday and haven’t had a chance to play it much. If there are amp sims in the S1 that are noticeably better than the Tank G, I might go for the S1.
i tried this device and for some reason the bluetooth playback audio is too low compared to the instrument audio, even when putting it at max level, is this a common issue ??
Yeah. Through phone or tablet if you connect via bluetooth. Inside an application you can select and edit your presets which appear on the pedalboard/footswitch. I dont have any mooer digital stuff, thats just how i interpreted the video.
Great review, this looks like a serious option for my solo gigs. By the way, you can add the mooer gwf4 foot switch wirelessly to add 4 more pedals to control individual effects in a preset! You mentioned the things you wished it had, like trs stereo output and trs stereo in for effects loop, one thing I would love to add that… An expression pedal input. If it has those things, having this and the extra gwf4, This would then be the ultimate mini gigging rig!
Sayang walang pedalboard mode. Home run na sana in terms of portability and a decent sound output. Oh well, you can't have them all. Or maybe not today.

I see what you did here 5:14 🤟 that was smooth, Awit ng kabataan
Regarding effects switching on/off, you can connect the mooer f4 and assign the 4 footswitch with what you want to control, like stomp box mode
How do you do that?
I got the GTRS w900 with the footswitch, this seems like a neat way to package it all outside of a guitar. I currently only own that one guitar, so i don't need it, but i hope Mooer keeps expanding that entire line/idea
I ordered mine in the Aurora Green finish, it should arrive tomorrow, though without the foot switch for now

@@mickedanielsson yeah but Bluetooth always have some latencies, so if you want to connect other instrument, it’s useless.

Love that guitar. That jam track sounds like something from an anime in a good way
Seems like the MVAVE Tank G is an alternative that allows stompbox mode as well as loading NAM/ANN profiles
