Matts right I'm half puerto rican half pakistani and all my friends were black, hispanic and asian and we said harsh jokes because we werent racist. I think white liberals who never grew up around actual minorities imagine minority culture different than what it really is, they see minorities as children who need to be protected.

That certainly explains the, "black people can't manage to get a photo ID, therefore requiring an ID to vote is racist" argument.

An old friend of mine is American born of Korean immigrant parents. I recall years ago when he was talking about playing a basketball game with fellow students at seminary. He, along with other guys who were ethnically Mexican or Japanese, were all calling each other racial slurs. Instead of it being "divisive" or time to remind everyone to be Politically Correct ( or Woke these days ), he said they were all cracking up. Anyone who's honest could tell when looking at and listening to him that he was sincerely happy about it. His anecdote was so damn refreshing and it reminded me that the spirit in how we interact with each other must be taken into consideration as to whether an action is truly offensive / wrong or not. ( I agree, white liberals can be ignorant as well as condescending in how they view minorities as so fragile. I'd also say that people who obsess over "words" and take almost everything literally often don't have a great sense-of-humor. )

As a white person who had friends of any race and religion it is like half the society acts like in a Mental institution. I agree with what you say that they talk down, like they talk down to a person in a wheel chair even though not being able to move ones legs has nothing to do with cognitive abilities. It's very strange. I think they often are arrogant and have high thoughts about themselves, comes often off as being dumb. Even the highly educated ones.

Yeah it’s weird. I grew up in a black hood. The rare white guy in a half black and a quarter each Asian and Hispanic ghetto.
Wed rip each other racially every day with friends and enemies,
Then in college rich white student and professors who knew nothing about pocs would tell me about race.
My roommate first year was a rich black kid the son of a music executive worth tens of millions who grew up in the wealthiest town in New England..
He would tell me how he’s oppressed because it’s about race not class.
Even tho I spent 33 days in the ICU after getting stabbed by pocs at age 15.

    1.) I like the disclaimer :)
2.) Zuby - such a fan! I peep that Treign apparel! Burn the ships, brother
    Illinois, USA
3.) As a law enforcement officer’s wife - I’m incredibly impressed by Matt’s intuitive thoughts about police officers and their attitudes - often coming off of horrible calls, often in bad moods, almost never being greeted with relief - usually disdain, always uncertain of the motives of the people they encounter, etc.
To be certain, there are bad apples out there. They make the rest of the officers’ lives miserable. I would challenge anyone to step in their footsteps for a shift or two.
3.) Zuby - I hated hearing that story and I’m sorry you went through that experience. Thank you for how you reacted in that situation and I’m so glad you are here doing the work you’re doing. You did the right thing.
4.) I’m a white chick with a white pre-teen, and I’ve had “the talk” with my son. In drivers’ ed in general, I think it’s good practice to teach kids to place your hands on the steering wheel, roll down the windows (especially if tinted), turn the music off, be respectful, don’t talk back, etc. Basically, just don’t give them a reason to be nervous or raise the hairs on the back of their necks. Even if shady ass cops are encountered, the goal is to walk away alive. Fight it in court later. It is not right, and it does not excuse their behavior, but at least you can kiss your mom and kids again. God willing, the truth will come out.

  • @paulhancock
    @paulhancock 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +12

The key conversation which ties Matt's films together and exposes the grift, is comparing trans-gender and trans-racial.
Two of the only things which you have no choice or control over, from birth, are your gender and colour of your skin. It is however absolutely normalised to be in complete denial of your biology and choose/change your gender based on how you feel, and yet the left will call you crazy and mentally ill if you propose identifying as a different race due to the way you feel.
In principle there should be absolutely no difference between those two things, and so that exposes the race grift as they cannot allow trans-racial to become a thing as it will make skin colour irrelevant (which I thought we were trying to achieve?). It would take away race as a weapon to divide and attack people... Which is their entire business model. Their ideas and principles are not rational, logical or hold any water under the most basic scrutiny.
Matt's films are just clever because it's not a setup or a hatchet job, he just gives them a platform to speak, and they freely expose themselves. That speaks volumes about their ideologies. He's performing an admirable and much needed service!

Men bond with each other and make fun of each other overtly. women criticize and destroy each other covertly. Whether it be the military or even sport teams in the locker room, that’s how we bond with each other. That’s how we talk to each other. That’s how we show each other affection and brotherhood. That’s why it’s being so shamed. That’s why when men have friendships. It’s called a Bromance. Because it’s dangerous for men to get together that’s how revolutions start. We used to have groups we used to have clubs now there’s nothing we are only here to serve Women. And masculinity is somehow toxic. I say fuck that. We need our brothers. Nothing is more important to men than other male relationships. That’s why it’s so frowned upon, find your tribe and cherish them and don’t let anybody shame you for loving your brothers.

racism really isnt that big of an issue. i grew up on the border of detroit, went to a heavily multi racial school system, have had friends of all races since i can remember, invited and welcomed by my parents who grew up in the late 60s just shortly after civil rights.
the absolute most hilarious thing you can do with any of your minority friends is when they do something nice for you, reply by saying "you're truly one of the good ones" and watch them laugh their asses off. they know you arent racist, because what racist would have minority friends constantly around, but to just prod around the race subject with comedic effect is always the best, and brings you closer together as two human beings.
just because we look different, doesnt mean we are different. i hear all the time that white people and black people grow up the same, white people dont know the struggles of black people, blah blah blah. well i'll let you in on a little secret. i've lived next to the hood my entire life. i grew up poor and my parents worked hard to put food on our table. we werent exactly middle class until we were teenagers. i still hear gunshots outside. i still see breakins on the news. i still fear walking outside at night during stupid times. i know what its like to have the government breathing down your back until they are satisfied with the amount of money you give them each paycheck, having to worry afterwards which bills you can pay. having to skip meals multiple days a week because you can't afford groceries. it's not a black thing to struggle, its a human thing, especially in an age where the government has its hand in your pocket from the time you are born to the time you are buried.
it's not a black vs white issue, its a civilian vs government inefficiency and corruption issue, and we're all a part of it whether we want to be or not.

A good point to cover in the discussion would’ve been how circumspection regarding a state monopoly on armed force is a key part of the American constitution. So a combative posture towards what is viewed as police misconduct is not necessarily unnatural. When this instinct / circumspection plays out in certain cases it’s seen as acceptable but in others not so. One would wonder why.
Separately, references / citations regarding the police caused death statistics would’ve been useful. For example, are the deaths commensurate with the percentage of population each group represents? The absolute numbers by racial group alone are not necessarily the most informative.
Broadly speaking I like both Zuby and Matt and some of the points they made. However, I feel Zuby could’ve done a better job of exploring certain counterpoints, making for a more well rounded discussion and stimulating thoughtful and nuanced discussion. No doubt Matt could even build on such points in his usual creative and entertaining way.

I like Zuby and I’m sympathetic to his overall message generally but frankly I feel like he’s far too careful with Matt’s feelings or perhaps a tad too desirous to not break his messaging. For example, he made the social media point very softly. It’s not a myth that bad things happen to minorities and it’s not necessarily via delusion that some of these things entered the mainstream discourse. Media has changed and it can indeed highlight realities that were not previously amplified. It’s also true that race ‘grifters’ and hustlers exist and get their messaging amplified too. Their existence does not negate the former, though and I know he possesses the command of language to elucidate this nuance. However, he chooses not to for whatever reason.

If he went to an international school in the Middle East then that's a common accent for suh pupils/students. Maybe they have a lot of teachers from the US and Canada.

@33greenleaf yeah it didn't exactly seem like his most serious take, so it's weird people are clutching their pearls about it. There might be the SMALLEST of chances that he wasn't specifically thinking about Kevin from South Dakota when he said it 😂
