I find it weird to think there was a time that this beat wasn’t familiar and intuitive to everyone, when this song hadnt been made yet.
ha right. As soon as they started stomping, we all knew the song by heart, it is that in grained.
You didn’t hear the sarcasm in John’s “genius” comment? The beat is familiar and intuitive, it’s why stadiums full of people could participate.
A strange concept indeed. That something so well known today could ever be unknown.
Truth is you never you know what you’re making till you make it & release. Sometime your gut tells you this is the one & you’re right & sometimes is the ones you never thought would take you there
@@stevemulcahy5014 you're an idiot
and thus one of the best songs in history was created.
It didn’t go this way
HEY OTAKU… Don’tchu wanna defend your statement ?
@@Queen_Springsteen Interesting how this dude didn’t even care to ask or even answer you back. Now… obviously I can go have my phone read me everything about queen in like under an hour and I will have like a PhD in this shit in under 45 minutes cuz our phones roll like that now.. But given I landed on this, and you said something to this dude , I’ll be nice enough to engage and ask ya … how did it happen dude ? .. Now … You don’t technically lol 🫠 have to respond because I will probably look this up in five seconds anyway..because I’m reading your comment and I do constantly feed myself anything and everything lol. I mean, I would assume in this case or any case Given what movies do and don’t do.. nothing is ever always to the degree of accuracy in which it happened, And sometimes it is… but most of the time, thats on purpose by choice , whatever… Do you want to put some random spin on it? .. Because clearly, however, this did go down. It wouldn’t be very hard to portray that on film with 100% dead on accuracy to every last goddamn detail if you wanted to so obviously they chose not to or they chose to leave shit out who the fuck knows I’m about to find out. but I would assume like in some sort of the ..same realm.. .. They would at least stay in …But like I said, I can get a PhD in Queen in under an hour literally.. Now with that said.. I mean shit I’ll respond. How did it happen bro? Poor Hanna 😔…. Yeah Good lookin out OTAKU!! Do you not want to defend your comment bro? Haha.🫠 Oh, and this is long as shit or maybe it looks like it’s long as shit even though this is not even close to long shit like if you knew who I was and what I do.. Either way point is, I’m talking to text so it adds up real quick. What’s the point of not using the technology in our hands. Same thing with if a book is dropped on me which .. it never is as far as someone writing something long to me.. I have 100 different ways. My phone can read it to me different apps, browsers, whatever and which is my phones built in shit Which is not even close to as good as it shit I actually use .. on my phone.. lol. Yeah, so this was kind of pointless, but.. I see nobody’s answering you know Poor Hanna ☹️… I would love to know how it happened Miss Ström.. 🫣 🧐
@@DCSHADY613 I'm not obligated to have to defend any of my comments. :)
@@Queen_Springsteen I know. it was simply a segway into saying that one of the best songs in history was created, that's all. :)
imagine going to a concert. stage is dark, and all of a sudden you just hear those 3 notes played. lights come up and there's Freddie mercury. must've been surreal
Yes!! All I could do was screech with my fist in the air!
Indeed it was
it was something else my friend.
I was at a show in Philly when they started this song. The place literally vibrated. I think that may have been the wildest thing I've experienced in all my concerts. Even more so than the couple having sex in the closed area of the Orange Bowl in Miami. Right there, everyone could see the silhouettes and the place exploded. But Queen and the stomping, it reached into your soul.
Nearly 50 years later and you do this simple beat and all the modern world knows exactly what it means.
It's one of the most recognized beats in history.
I'll never forget being in an assembly during High School and we were waiting for it to begin. My buddy and I both started to do the beginning of this song and we got the entire assembly to follow along. No one sang or anything, but it was awesome that the whole school stomped and clapped along. What a legendary song.
The Power of one, can lead to the power of...MANY! Nicely done to you and your friend, and Rock on boys!"
Every high school ever lol
@@scottdecker9115 We are all part of the music, but we can be slaves to the rhythm - in a good way.
Sounds awesome on them old wooden bleachers
Any everyone cla...oh, you already said that.
I think Brian May’s solo just DOMINATED the song…so good 🎉
Dr May is an amazing and brilliant human .
Brian may written and composer this song. lyrics. rhythm. beats
@@bb22602 It wouldn't EXIST without Dr. Brian May ! He didn't get his doctorate just because of that amazing mane.
Brian May understands that if you start strong, you have to end equally strong.
Absolutely 💯 his solo on this song is top 10 in the world.
I thought this song was great enough. But knowing they came up with it to encourage the audience to be part of the band makes the song even better.
a lot of this movie is straight up fabrication, do not take it as gospel
Is there any truth to that ?
@@bidmcms3 Good question
@@ryanstauffer119 yeah I’m curious how much of this is artistic license from the movie creators
Apparently, Brian was inspired to write We Will Rock You after hearing/seeing the crowd sing You'll Never Walk Alone to them after one of their concerts.
That guitar solo always gets me in my feels
Same man
It's a great solo 😶🌫️
We Will Rock You isn't a song. It's a feeling.
And God said "Let there be music" and there was, is and will forever be.
Wise words my friend
Every person who was in that crowd that day, it must've a hell of an experience 😊
None of them imagined this song at the Queen's jubilee, but ... WOW! They rocked the world!
An idea so simple as stomping your feet and clapping your hands to a specific beat creates a song that becomes so iconic its played literally everywhere.........To me that is truly amazing
I still get chills down my spine when this song starts.
You know, if you've ever been to Queen's concert or any concert where they've played this song live, This song comes to life when people join in to sing it in real time. This song becomes alive.
And in 2023 and beyond, we will still be singing this song.....forever.
In October 2021, I was all long-term substitute music teacher for a local Catholic elementary school. One of the first things I did was teach the fifth graders about rhythm. The song of choice? “We Will Rock You”. Why? Because even though the rhythm is simple in and of itself, the challenge is sticking together as a group. So by breaking them together in small groups and having them work in unison, they can find out how rhythm is supposed to operate and how musicians have to stay in time as one.
Thank you, Queen, for this simple masterpiece
Every game, every concert, every event people join in for this simple yet unforgettable beat and chorus. It's genius.
The moment this song was released, sports arena and stadium engineers throughout the world thought "oh sh*t . . . "
It was as if an extreme laxative was given to an entire profession.
That's a whole fact
Fun fact: We Will Rock You isn't written in the 80s but in 1977 in their album, News of the World
I remember seeing this in theatres....people were clapping softly along.
Clapping softly along?
Did they not have any respect?
This song needs STOMPING!
Oh you mean the distant year of 2018? 😂
I get tears in my eyes watching this. I was in the right place at the right time when all of these
bands were popular. Queen and Freddy Mercury were beyond the beyond. Freddy died same day as my Mom. So tragic. I’m so glad I got to see them perform in a small theater in Boston back in the day. I’m so glad they continue to play and celebrate their music with Adam Lambert. It’s such an honor for all of them. ❤😢❤
This will always be one of the greatest Band that will ever exist they will ever exist. QUEEN IS A LEGEND
Every time I see Jurassic Park Boy in a movie or tv series. He kills it.

One of greatest songs ever!! All you need is a feet, a pair of hands and vocal chords!!!❤❤❤
Best beat , best song ever created 🤌
"FEARLESS LIVES FOREVER"
~freddie mercury
My favorite movie of all time
I was never a big fan of Queen. Sure heard their songs on the radio & such (early MTV days). Then I saw a few clips on here from the movie & decided to watch the movie. I was hooked from the opening scenes. Their music makes much more sense now. Freddy I'm sure is looking down from Heaven & smiling.
I remember being at school and every time we wanted to stir things up we would do this, but hitting the desk with our hands twice and then clapping, I didn’t know this song by that time. It’s genius.
I remember in third grade when this song started the whole class would hit the desk and clap in unison. It was amazing
I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!! 😂❤ the sass of every single one of them is off the charts 😆
One of the very best bands ever.
Who else stomped there foot and clapped to the beat when this came out in cinemas
Don't you wish all of us could have been there for that concert!!!!!!!
At some point an audience unknowingly became the last to stomp along with Freddy and couldn’t appreciate the weight of the moment at the time
When I was in college, we were in the Chemistry lab. The lab instructor was sitting in his chair reading some book and we were all bored to death doing the same experiments again and again. Then I casually banged the table twice. And I did it again. And again. This time I heard a clap from the corner table, it was Ratnakar. And then I banged twice and I heard two more claps. In seconds, the whole lab were banging the bench twice followed by a clap. And we all sang "We will We will Rock you!" The instructor went crazy, ran to the head quarters to get the Chemistry HOD to get us to stop singing.
So simple, yet absolutely genius
I believe that somewhere in the world, there are people who feel the same emotions that I feel when I listen to masterpieces like this song.
Universal Earthlings! (Anyone that has some technology and can hear this song.)
I’ll always remember this song being used as part of the opening for the tv show Cheers back in the day.
This song is what separates ARTISTS from mere singers and more importantly ARTISTS who care about their audience more than they care about their ART.
you make it sound as if artists aren't allowed to care about the art they create, which is bizarre given that making art is why they started in the first place, get your head screwed on right
dear lord may i die the way I was born, naked and screaming with rock and roll in my heart.
According to a interview with Brian May in "Classic Rock" magazine, it was actually some large pieces of hard board that he found outside in a skip due to construction work, that they stamped on! He also created an algorithm so that he could "stack" the recording on top of it's self multiple times!
"Bohemian Rhapsody" is a Fantastic film; but boy, did they take liberties with the timeline!
Pure genius, there will never be a band or performer that ever matches queen
I saw these guys WAY back during their Bohemian Rhapsody tour.
An easy rythm, a great voice and performer, a god idea and great band. This song is iconic and Freddy - you are the greatest😢💔
They never imagined the Queen herself would do this song with Paddington.
chills!!
Imagine thousands of people doing this. What's the lyrics? We will rock you. And this is why they are Queen
The fact that Princesof the Universe wasnt done in this movie hurts my Highlander-loving soul.
70s and 80s had the best rock music
Always loved the part when then guitar kicks in
This movie had me in tears a few times not gonna lie. I wish I could have seen them live.
It's so incredibly impactful that the first half of the song is just the audience and Freddy and it's amazing AND THEN THE SOLO, God I love Queen, that is how you make truly beautiful music
I watched this with my oldest son and he enjoyed the HELL out of it. I introduced Queen to my boys when they were younger and now they're high schoolers and still love Queen.
All of them were so lucky who joined this concert 😢😢
was this genuinely all Brian May’s idea? If so that was a stroke of pure genius
In real life, Freddie didn't have a moustache when they wrote this song. He even had more hair.
Just shows how Simple and basic can sometimes just be better. Its just a simple beat but the way its used just creates absolute magic.
An artist who introduced the world to the dance step "Moonwalk"
I just saw this and later in the movie after Rami Malek's hair gets a little longer I swear he was born to also portray Mick Jagger in a movie.
I'll bet there wasn't a single person watching this video that didn't immediately tap their foot and clap when the concert scene started to play... 😎
That Film is so perfect
This is the original turn up songs. This got me hooked as a kid when it came out and it still going on.
I remember that tour. I KNEW queen was awesome and was glad I was there to see it.
Go into any high school pep rally in the US and they will be playing this song.
Congrats
My dad is the cameraman following Freddie around. He was a big Queen fan anf still has the set list signed by the band. Great memories.
Your dad was a lucky man
The Garden ❤
The genius that is Queen!!!
Best always comes out from genuineness
i love this film so so much
We had big metal bleachers at my High School I used to get so fired up during football games when this was played. I Would flatten defensive linemen to this tune.
This scene sounded sick in the theater
I love Freddie Mercury vocal range 😊I know this isn't his real voice but I talk in general
This movie was so well done.
A song for all ages.
"Genius"
"Another smart remark like that john and I'll have a t-rex crash through the roof of your car. Is that clear?"
Man!! now Im gonna watch this whole movie just because of this clip
Fantasticos❤
Best song ever created
I know biopics tend to shuffle around real life events. Changing the timeframe when things happen. But come on, everyone knows this song was done much earlier in Queen's career. There is even a primitive music video out with Freddy in his long hair pre mustache days. Kind of hard to mess that up.
I grew up with the best music
I love this tribute doc video.
Real Musicians.. Artist...
Big fan of Queen for more than 30 years. Waited eagerly for that movie and was very disapointed since 90% of it is false, misleading or blatent lies. There was no need because reality was perfect material for a great movie.
Queen ❤️
And thus We will rock you was born
He murdered that damn 🎸 yes. We will Rock you
Thank You John
Interestingly enough, even though we are all only "a vapor" in time, some things we create/accomplish are so indelibly great that they endure indefinitely.....
Thank You Lord for the music these people gave us....
V
I think this is what they call "so simple that only a genius could have come up with it"
The Birth of Masterpiece Song
Get the feeling Bri was the level headed one, Freddie was the Queen, (pardon the pun ) Roger was one who chased every thing in a skirt …. And John , the quiet one… at least that’s what I make of it …..
and lest see how far into the future this doesn't travel......
We will rock you n We are the champions, both universal stadium anthems
Yes we will rock you ❤
Goosebumps
Hearing it go from the actor to the actual Freddie mercury sounded weird and cool at the same time
I remember this playing at Lakers games😎😎😎
