so, for myself looking at the original, and the new, i have long legs ,so i chose the lower one?, when the new foot rest is in position, the rubber seems to be the same height as the old foot rest ?> am i wrong?????
Yes, for me they really made a difference. Not so much the lowering, but the grip. I was always afraid that my feet would slip on the small rubber pegs when riding a little more off road.

Personally I recommend applying locktight, as that area vibrates like mad.

The lower setting was the same height as standard which is a shame.
