Not parks, but plazas (places). A plaza is the larger place that contains many parks, trails and other attractions like the Turtle Creek, White Rock, or North Oak Cliff areas. One shouldn't be building a park for today; but; it should be built for tomorrow's enjoyment. A park is a two dimensional thing that city officials force upon their taxpayers. A plaza is a pretty overall area recognized by the people which will trigger gentrification. Once the city takes over that development trying to gentrify the whole city, it is all over but the Taps played on a bugel.
@@haroldsimmonspark I do understand parks. My baby son would start cheering for us to stop at every one of them we passed by after seeing its swing sets. What is the pretty plaza now forming in North Oak Cliff? It includes the Dallas Zoo, Jefferson Blvd., the hills and trees, the Bishops Arts District, Lake Cliff Park, the trolley, the soon to be completed deck park over I-35, and so on. It isn't the park, but the overall place containing many parks, trails, and other attractions.
How exciting! When built, it will be a true destination nature park for all to enjoy from all directions of the city and beyond.
So true!
Looking forward to this park. 🎉🎉
Us too! Harold Simmons Park -- Where Nature Unites Dallas

Would like to invite you to understand the park, and how the park will benefit Dallas. Connecting people with nature and each other.
