Oh, man, that looks amazingly delicious Seonkyoung! I love all the fresh herbs that the Vietnamese are known for! Growing up, my parents made a version of banh mi that I've never seen anyone else make. It's made of pork belly, but it's not crispy. It's cooked down and is soft. My dad made a sweet sauce of lots of fried onions, ketchup, and sugar so it's almost caramelized and we top the meat with that along with the pickled carrots. Sooo good!!!
I think I’m going to make this for my parents!! So far I’ve made steamed buns, kimchi fried rice, karaage, and Thai chicken soup. Every single recipe has been delicious. I love your channel because I share the same passion for food and cooking. Blessings to you Chica keep shining.

Never had a Bahn Mi like this, this seems so authentic and I can smell the herbs!! In Australia we have a similar formula - pate, mayo, one slice of pork, radish, cucumber, one green onion and some cilantro.... delicious but can get boring I must admit... this looks bomb!!! Love your guys reaction to when you first taste the food :-) !!!

Well looks like I found my next Asian at Home recipe to try. That crunch just sounded so tempting. The only thing I found surprising at first was that the meat was not seasoned at all. Given all of the herbs and accouterments on the sandwich, I can see where it might not be necessary, but I think I'd want to put at least something on the flesh side of it. Nonetheless, thank you for sharing another tempting recipe! Our whole family has come to love your channel and they are open enough to let me experiment with (on?) them.
Ramen challenge: 20 minute ramen using only ingredients from Walmart (or some common grocery store). -really I just need something quick and something I don’t have to run to the Asian market for lol.
