    Creative pattern. It looks like the head shape could be varied to create a popper, slider, or diver. I gotta give it a try.

    This would be really effective at night in all black on a slow side to side retrieve.

    what size Foam Bug Bodies are you using?

      Size 4 on a 2/0 hook
      Size 8 on a 1/0 hook
      Size 10 on a 1 hook
      Size 12 on a 2 hook

    You've sure been productive on the vice. Way to go! I like this pattern. Although I've never tried one, I've heard smallmouth will often pick off dead drifting minnows and slightly wounded ones on or near the surface. This pattern seems just the ticket. Definitely on my must tie list . Cheers Martyn and doesn't seem a particularly daunting tie to boot.

      charles mc farlane it's easy to tie and works well. Seabass eat it too.
      I know what you mean about the smallmouth, most of the ones I catch on top are on dead drifted flies. All the best

    Good fly to fish on a intermediate or sinktip line also.

    how does it moves in the water? does it works like a popper or is it more like "walk the dog" action?

      Leonardo Acha it's more like a slider, not so much disturbance as a popper it's good to twitch it in a single spot
