What's the purpose of the nylon loop? I'm guessing it keeps the fur away from the hook or did I miss something?

Beautiful fly and technique. Can you say where you acquire that beautiful combo color zonker? I order a lot of material from a lot of shops and cannot locate that version. Thanks much.

Hi Kevin, in this video I used the ‘ black barred groovy bunny strips ‘ by Hareline

Looks great but for the life of me I can't get this fly to fish straight. It always wants to roll over on its back

You do know this fly rides upside down.. hook up.

@@robertjerome1889 yes, it wants to swim hook point down all the time. I've solved the issue by using a few coils of lead around the shank. TBH a lot of bonefish flys that are supposed to be hook point up don't fish correctly because of ballance issues.

I'm just getting into fly tying and I have probably watched 150 youtube videos in the last several days. I just stumbled across your videos and you do a very good job. I just wanted to offer piece of constructive criticism. After seeing everyone else's videos and then yours I can tell you I am not a fan of the camera angle. I can't see what's going on near as well with the above view compared to a side view. I notice people put the camera across from them, facing them. That angle works very well and provides a clearer view of what's going on from the same angle that I would see it if I was tying the fly myself...... not trying to nitpick or knock your videos in anyway, just wanted to give you some feedback. Anyway, thanks for posting these helpful videos....

Keep it up Gio…beautiful fly and technique….when I read this comment, that old saying came to mind..”don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.”

@@outsidersmv4867 So apparently you think constructive criticism is a bad thing? It is a beautiful fly and technique, never said it wasn't. Just offered my opinion on the way the material was being presented. Since I've watched hundreds and hundreds of fly tying videos from multiple sources in a short period of time I considered my input valid. That's why I respectfully offered my opinion. What if a simple change to your process makes your videos even more enjoyable and effective but you never realize that because no one ever offered constructive criticism.....

I agree in part. I think these videos are best for tyers who already have a command of the general techniques and want to become masters like GDP.
