After a week with my new model 3 Performance the buttons are natural to me. I jumped in my old model 3 this weekend and went to push the non existing button on the wheel to turn on the turn signal.
@@Crazypostman I was wondering what you were talking about when you said stocks (or stalks) but then you mentioned you were doing the motion to hit the turn signal and I understood. Well, one kid had a right/left hand problem one day because every time the instructor said to make a turn, he'd use his right arm to go to the shifter instead of his left for the turn signal. Good thing our instructor had lightening reflexes because his arm shot out and grabbed the kid's arm before he even got to the shifter.
Actually there are a lot of EV’s in Oklahoma, and Francis Electric has chargers all over the state, on US and State highways, not just the Interstates like Tesla and EA have. There is only ONE Supercharger in the entire western half of Oklahoma, along I-40 in Weatherford, as he noted. There are none in the southeast quarter of the state either. But there are 6 Supercharger sites in the NE quarter of the state. Tesla has a LOT of work to do in Oklahoma😊
@@glenngore6609 Tesla did recently open a second supercharger location in OKC, but it's over on Lincoln north of the state capital. Completely wrong location in my opinion. They should have added one in the busy I-35 corridor between Moore and Norman.
@@mowcowbell Oh that’s right, I’d forgotten about that one. You’re right, a totally useless location overall. The fact that Tesla has no Superchargers in NW, SW, and SE Oklahoma at all was the primary reason I did not buy a Tesla and got an Ioniq 5 instead. Add to that the fact that Tesla has an ENORMOUS hole of no Superchargers between I-40 and I-70 and I-25 and I-35 that makes a trip to Denver a no-go. Since I don’t live in NE Oklahoma, where all the Superchargers are, there is no real reason for a Tesla. It’s enough having to deal with Francis’s trash network as Postman showed in this video.
@@glenngore6609 I checked Abetterrouteplanner and a trip from OKC to Denver is quite possible in a Tesla. You have to charge in Weatherford, Shamrock, Amarillo, Clayton NM, Trinidad CO, Pueblo, Colorado Springs, then destination Denver. Those stops would be all Tesla Superchargers.
bro the reason you are charging at 25 kw is because that station is 1k volts your tesla only supports 500v and youre at 61% battery ANDDDD you didnt precondition the battery which only happens when you navigate to a charger.. rookie rookie rookie
@@James-cq9dp Almost none of what you said is correct. The Model 3 will request around 90KW at 61%. The voltage of the car is not even a factor here. This station is capable of 350 amps so at 400 volts would give me 140KW theoretically. I did not precondition the battery so I might not have received full power Immediately, but like we mentioned above, I wouldn't have received more than about 90KW at this state of charge anyway. The car wouldn't have thermally limited to only 25kw unless it was much much colder outside.
All these ev's are way overpriced vs what they cost to build them the tesla does hold thier value better than most ev's because of the better charging network and they are more reasonable in price especially the model 3 like you are getting they are not overpriced as much as say the hyundai ioniq 5 which is probably 10k more than it should be new

I'll admit, I wish I had one. But I have to settle with my niro for now.
Also, I would want the Plaid. So I don't think that's happening any time soon.
@@CollinLutz-p9e Oh yeah, of course I want the plaid too. My bank account disigrees 🤣
@@Crazypostman yep lol. Mine too
Oh the ASMR of Tesla screen peeling….ahhhh. Enjoy! Hope fortune swings in your favor. Been a tough summer. TesM3P is a sweet ride
Well, FSD on the high way is for now - old Auto Pilot software. Tesla says it will implement the new code this month (we have to wait to see if that really happens)
Congrats on a fantastic car!
Everything is good until you use the blinkers. 🤦🏽♂️ Congratulations this is by far one of the best cars for the buck! Keep an eye on the rear motor around the drive shaft. A few Tesla owners found what appears to be oil leaking. Tesla Mark has a video.
@@gust9464 Yeah, I've seen that video and others. I've been driving this thing for a week now and I still don't have the blinkers down, I still grab for nothing, and when I do remember I have to still look. My brain just might not be able to grasp the change. 🤣
is it switching lanes to the fast lane because the speed limit is 70mph and you were going 74?
There is an arrow on the fuel gauge that indicates the filler side.
@@HeavenGuy I know that. I've been in driving so many different cars over the last couple months. I just forget which one I'm in.
There is a setting to minimize lane changes for current drive. What FSD version do you have?
12.5.1.3 Yeah, I found that setting.
Congrats Crazy on the new ride! Finally came in! I'm just curious, if you didn't think you had enough range to get home at 80%, why didn't you just top it off at the Tesla dealer to 100% before leaving?
@@sargemonday4801 Once I saw I was getting to my parents house with 40%. I pretty much knew I could make it home. I also wanted to try the adapter. That didn't go so well, but of course I blame Francis.
The Tesla store in OKC only has Level 2 chargers, charging from 80 to 100% would have taken 45-60 mins more.
@@mowcowbell They used to have a couple superchargers around back for the service use only. Did they get rid of them?
@@Crazypostman Not sure about those, I only noticed the Level 2 units on the north and east sides of the building when I was picking up my Model Y back in March. Mine wasn't plugged in when I picked it up, but it was at 80% charge.
Looks like you’ve got the default FSD 12.3.6 which is many versions prior to the latest version. It took almost 2 weeks for Tesla to push 12.5.1 over.
@@OrdainedPrepper I got 12-5-1-3 now. And it's behaving a little bit better now. No more Switching to the left lane for no reason so far.
@@Crazypostmando you have ASS (Actually Smart Summon) with the update?
@@OrdainedPrepper I don't know. I don't think so. 🤣 I've played around with summon A few years ago, before it was actually smart, I really didn't like it back then. Not that it didn't work, it's just I felt weird using it, getting looks from people. I don't like drawing attention. It makes me feel weird.
@@Crazypostman I re-read your initial reply and you mentioned that the update was 12.5.1.3 (that does not have the ASS update). I recently got 12.5.2 and the version with ASS is 12.5.3
@@OrdainedPrepper Okay, I'll keep patiently waiting for my ASS
I am guessing that by now (02:30 Monday - Eastern Time Zone) you have done an RTFM routine.
Why not using Super chargers?
No superchargers on my route. I could have gone just slightly out of my way while I was in Oklahoma City, but I wasn't too concerned about not having enough After I put the address in the navigation, it said I could make it.
Lol come to Australia, gas here costs around $7 a gallon when you convert the currency.
About that tutorial in the beginning... TBH I would have done the same 😅
You can't say I did not warn you, you should have got the Y Proformance. The Y's have much larger doors and seat height and a hatch. My 70 yo cousin bought Quick Silver Y P and he loves it. Maybe your 3 will encourage you to loose a few lbs. I need to loose a few and I have a Y! Two weeks and you will be catch back up with Teslas. With the CCS1 & J1772 adapters you can now charge anywhere 😊
Dude knows he's short on range but drives 85mph anyways. Ok
@@jasonl5607 There was more than one CCS bailout option if I needed it, But after I put the address in the nav, I wasn't too worried about it. The last Tesla I had was a 2019 and this one Seems to have a little bit better range than what I was used to also.
CP's Sister. Yay!!
FSD is law abiding and people safety prioritizing!!! Capish!
Congrats!! One day soon, that car will take you and pick you up from work.
@@h-e-acc I had FSD two years ago in my other Tesla. I park in the back of the building inside a fence. It couldn't figure that out. We'll see if the new one can.
Good luck, having no stalks would drive me nuts.
@@TechnicalLee Everybody says you get used to it. I guess we'll see. But I 100% would rather have stocks. Even if I do get used to not having them.
After using the steering wheel buttons, going back to stalks is annoying.
At least your level two AC charging should be zero problems and charge up to 11.5 kw. Why did you have a $24,000.00 negative on the Ionic 5. It dropped that much in value or other things and you didn't have to answer.
@@davidws5439 Level 2 charging worked full power, no problems last night. Hallelujah. Yes, I lost that much between when I purchased it and when I traded it in. Some of that was expected obviously, normal depreciation, but I didn't expect that much.
Congrats CP!! Do you want to share my chicken nuggets? I want my own. 😆
@@J0j0m10 🤣
You have it for atleast 2 years did you lease?
2.69 for 5 liters is expensive? We pay like 2 euros per Liter, that is 10 Euros for a "gallon".
A Gallon is 3,78541178 liter. So the price of a gallon in the Netherlands is about € 7,-
$2.69 is cheap
The more I drive my Tesla, the more I think we are far from self driving cars.
And removing stalks is just a major error. Stalks are so intuitive to use, there was no need to replace them with button on the wheel.
There's an aftermarket kit you can get to add stocks back. It's too bad we have to pay extra for that.
After a week with my new model 3 Performance the buttons are natural to me. I jumped in my old model 3 this weekend and went to push the non existing button on the wheel to turn on the turn signal.
Took me 1 day to get used to it
@@Crazypostman I was wondering what you were talking about when you said stocks (or stalks) but then you mentioned you were doing the motion to hit the turn signal and I understood. Made me flash back to high school way back when and I was taking my driving lessons with one of our teachers. He was in the front passenger seat, one of us would be driving and there would be 2 more of us in the back of the Dodge Dart (yes, I said I am old).
The buttons are great!!
I’m glad they removed the stalks.
$2.69! Bargain in Phoenix!
Bro our gas is $4.69
An EV is Oklahoma is a almost as lonely as an EV in West Virginny.
All these ev's are way overpriced vs what they cost to build them the tesla does hold thier value better than most ev's because of the better charging network and they are more reasonable in price especially the model 3 like you are getting they are not overpriced as much as say the hyundai ioniq 5 which is probably 10k more than it should be new
$2.69 is so cheap duds 😅
Remember when you were considering getting a POS Ultium EV?
People do not want EVs, they want Tesla's.

@@pauldbeer what do I need to learn? You turn it on and it goes. I just have to supervise. I guess I have to remember to turn it off before I try to pass somebody. What else do you think I did wrong?
nice choice, but it is a little irresponsible to not take the time to learn the basics before driving 300 miles.
@@ChickyNuggIf I couldn't figure out autopilot, I can still drive down the road without it. the accelerator, the brake pedal and the steering wheel are pretty self-explanatory. Who reads the whole owner's manual before leaving the dealer lot anyway.
Wake up man! It goes into the "passing" lane BECAUSE YOU DRIVE OVER THE SPEED LIMIT!!!!!
Stay below the limit, and it will remain in the "driving" lane!!! WTF? You cannot figure that? really!!!!!!!!
@@pauldbeer If you're so sure that's the reason, then tell me why I've driven the same road the last two days since this video was filmed and it has stayed in the right lane. I guess you don't know it all.
@@pauldbeer Why would it be in the passing lane if there's nobody to pass? It doesn't matter how fast you're going. That should not happen. It's obviously an error in the programming.
@@Crazypostman I never claimed to "know it all"
It simply seem to be the reason. You exceed the speed limit, the system will "think" you are passing, thus it will choose to drive in the "fast" lane.
You continually "forcing" it back to the other lane, will "learn" the AI to then drive there...
Just a thought, no need to get cocky, really....!
