Koi in the Evening 15th of September 2023

I've not done a video for a while, as i've had a nightmare treating for gill flukes all summer.
I lost a really nice kujaku, and have just put the sick fish in a Quarantine pond.
It turned out the problem has apparently been resolved by simply removing the sick fish that was riddled with thousands of gill flukes that no treatment was able to touch to a quaranteen pond.
the rest of the pond was right as rain 4 days later....no treatment had been added!

Sorry about your Kojaku Dave. Where did the gill flukes come from? I guess it really is important to have some sort of hospital tank. Good to know the rest are happy again. Very interesting observation.

Think i've never got rid of them from last year, still haven't.
but i'm going to be making some changes to the pond as i think the very large/oversized shower filter is breaking down the medication and not allowing it to stay in the water long enough to wipe them out.
