    I just got a 2005 gsxr 1000
That newer style is sick! Dude I love Suzuki bikes. Never had anything but. Had a 1996 gsxr 750, 2001 600 and now this 2005 gsxr 1000. They run and look so beautiful

@remelsheikh so you push up while pulling to remove the fairing? I haven't figure it out yet. I feel like it will break.

y'all do realize that no cut frame sliders generally just collapse. The whole will damn near be invincible. Well should be.

Not true. You can read reviews all over saying how they survived a crash or slide. They are bolted on with a solid piece of aluminum

ZIPPER978 they use a bracket rather than a straight bolt to the frame. Not as strong as the cut style sliders.

Naa you did the best ya could from what I could tell.. I just wished that you would have aborted the mission when you saw that the slider wasn't going to fit as advertised and went with a different slider instead of buggering up your plastic on the right side.. All-n-all you made it work but at some point you have to ask yourself "whats the purpose of frame sliders in the first place?" They are suppose to keep your plastic safe from getting messed up if you lay your bike down right? If you have to destroy your plastic to install the damn things then that sort of defeats the purpose right? You did good and you learned a lesson and even better you posted this lesson so that others wont make the same mistake!

I would never ever cut holes in my fairings ever! Lol, you kno they make frame sliders for 2011-2015 gsxr' that you don't have to cut the plastics:$

Mate, you butchered that job BIG TIME!!! I'm awaiting the arrival of the Yoshimura Chassis Protector Set, part number #040BG116000 , for my wife's 2014 GSX-R600. This kit has templates that you attach to the outside of the fairing in order to assist with the drilling of the holes, no need to smash a 'Sharpie' to get an idea of where to drill. The only thing I learned from watching your video was how to remove the fairing and NOT to ever recommend SHOGUN Frame Sliders!

The guy from Shogun has fobbed you off big style!! The hole should NOT be that big on sliders. The hole shouldnt be big enough that the whole slider can slide through it.
Absolutely ridiculous for him to suggest that. Nobody would butcher their bikes to donit that way. Looks rubbish.
I would be sending them a bill for a bee fairing.
