Thank you for taking us with you. And your right the prices at goodwill have really gone up, to the point that the are charging same as new items. It’s a shame as the economy keeps going down and a retired person like myself just tries to find nice usable items for myself. Let’s see what the future brings.
You look just fine without makeup. I quit wearing makeup, except for Very special occasions. Shopping ain’t one of them. I’m also allergic to a lot of different makeup brands, like you. So I’d rather see you without makeup than with the hives and swelling reactions that occur from wearing them!
I haven’t been to a goodwill in several years. The closest one to my location is still an almost 2hour drive. We have a few thrift stores and flea markets around here. But that’s why I watch your show. Because you go to all of them and sometimes I see you pick up something I like and I then have a chance to bid on it. Everything I’ve gotten from you came in good time and great shape!

Eeek! I don’t like those metal straws either. I also don’t like those vintage metal tumblers. I hated drinking out of them when I was a kid. They gave me the heebie jeebies!😊

That big white flower is the Magnolia it's the state flower of Mississippi and it smells wonderful......

I’ll bet you are glad you hung around! You found some good deals! Love your peach blouse! Yup the prices are way to high, especially when the price is higher than the original price at the stores with brand new stuff! I get a kick when you flip the piece over and the price tag is higher….maddening but eventually they may loose business. They are not helping people who work their by doing business this way. Thanks for the video again! Always look forward to them!

I find it disturbing when GW has so many damaged items on the shelf but still with a high price.
Danni I think the item on the end cap, that you came across 1st, would be great for necklaces bracelets earrings. At the store, even brooches. I sure did enjoy watching and listening to you and picker road. And absolutely when you have a business, they are so many ways to use as tax deductibles....even your office. At home, or bedroom if that's were you do any business work in. And especially travel, travel, travel.?

Good call on the jewelry this time. What not to buy is key in jewelry too. The wicker purse looked designer, when you see leather straps like that, look inside! Cole Haan did that kind of thing

The pink swirl vase was actually a tumble up. The glass was right next to it. Probably a $50 item at least

I guess you should know how Goodwill works, and they can probably defend their prices, just like did in your Sunday video. You both get your items donated for free. And you put a high price on the items. Goodwill has everyday discounts, so if you can pay less for items. Then maybe you should only shop for that color tag of the day. Or on seniors' day.
Sheila, I have often said more power to them if they can get those prices... we price lower than Goodwill prices and run substantial discounts constantly - and at the end of the day we are a small independent store not a large corporation backed with government funding for payroll! Big difference!
I've always stated I'm willing to pay up more at a small store vs Goodwill due to this.
I read there are several Goodwill stores closing in various states. Due to lack of sales and poor profit
I hadn't been in a Goodwill in a while, so I stopped the other day. The prices were absolutely crazy... such a plain glass (think mayonnaise jar) jar without a lid for $3.50! I walked out without buying a single thing. I think they slitting their own throat with those kind of prices. Smh
Stopped shopping Goodwill some years ago. I figured with their rididous prices they preferred to keep all their broken junk. I prefer to support the thrift store ran by our local womens shelter. I dont even shop our Hsbitat Restore because they seem to think all of their junk is antique( and I used to work there!!)

The copper set at the beginning is a coffee set: an old Turkish, Moroccan, etc. style. I saw the matching tray on the bottom shelf and of course, the sugar and creamer. Go back and get it! I think it’s a good find. Even with the small dents.
The box 1776, looks like hints everywhere. The pledge flag in another video & on one piece of pottery you picked up to look at was 45. Now that's all good.
I think the little dolphin dish says “Swim”. Yes the little Teflon skillet is for pancakes.

The Goodwill near me had a store manager who was removing the price tags on a lot of the items for sale that were out on the sales floor. You had to ask how much something was. Everytime a person asked for a price, she would size up her customers. If you really wanted something, and she knew it, the price was increased. When someone asked how much something was that was the same race as the manager was, the price suddenly was super cheap. She was discriminating her customers, and there were a lot of complaints. Goodwill corporate let her behavior go on for a long time. Then one day, corporate finally did something about it, and they fired her. She would also take items you placed on the counter at the cash register that were priced, and remove the price tag when you were going to pay for some items. After she removed the price, she would raise it, and say it was priced wrong at the sorting center before it was sent to the store. I believe in equal pricing for everyone, and to raise a price solely on a persons race is wrong. I quit going to The Goodwill due to her behavior.

Really enjoy your show. I agree with you, prices are ridiculous. In NM the prices are high and we don’t get any discounts. And the stores are messy. It’s not as much fun anymore. Estate sales and garage sales are more fun.

Danni, that Pink swirled glass "vase" had a matching glass next to it. So I think it was a besides water jar like my Great-Aunt had next to her bed. AND, which I have been searching for everywhere.

I think we all need to stop shopping at Goodwill and supporting them. Not only are their prices hiked but they’re not putting the money where it should be going. I watched aDocumentary about them and they don’t put their money where their mouth is
Same in Australia. People in desperate states come in and get useless groceries out of date. I see $2 items with an origional $1 price. Pricing is done by richer folk and not average workers.

@@krisbest6405 here in Kentucky, many people get expired food at food banks. You do get frozen stuff too, but you're taking a chance there as well.
@@MrsTiffanyGrey they arent anything alike except for the reselling of donated goods. Salvation Army is a church based charity who's headquarters are in London England.
Would like to see the Salvation Army to get the donation’s the goodwill gets!! I think everyone needs to donate to Salvation Army

Agree about pricing. Not all of us resell. If it’s donated it should be seen as donated to the community I follow a couple of TH-camrs who thrift to decorate their homes.

Not every visit to every thrift store, estate sale or garage sale will yield good stuff. Sometimes you have to leave with nothing rather than buying stuff just to get something as those items are destined for the profit/death pile because you were never thrilled with them.

My Goodwill prices are getting out of line also. I am liking those metal flowers for some reason, not really my style though.
I've been shopping Goodwill since the 1970's and have watched prices increase as the economy changes. Goodwill prices reflect the raising prices of everything else in America, like food, medicine, utilities (my water bill is $80 base and increases as I use more water), fuel, shipping, payroll, insurance etc. We are seeing the fall of the dollar imho.

You have such beautiful skin, you don't even need makeup.
Our Goodwills in WV have very little glassware or hard goods. They send them to the dumpsters sometimes, before they hit the shelves. Not sure what the logic is of that, but I’ve seen that a lot around here. It’s sad! A lot more makes it to the dumpster, than seems to make it on the shelves in the stores. I’d love to see the shelves packed instead.

I know one of our good will had corporate there I was listening in and one guy was asking why sales dropped over the last month gee wonder if the high prices has stuff to do with that? A week after that I went back in and prices seem to be back to normal now at least at that store but they did get out of hand with the prices broken items marked up in the 60-100 of bucks like chunks missing from the pieces broken Fenton in the 40’s tons of people where complaining about daily

I used to put make up on every day, but whenever there was a day I didn’t everybody thought I was sick and my husband asked me are you sick? You don’t look good and I just laugh and say. I did not put make up on today, but now I don’t even put it on at all

That was Freds tack trunk. Very expensive when purchased new, usually custom ordered. Even used will sell to horse owners for a couple of hundred dollars.

Re Invitations: I mailed invitations to a baby shower last month. I wrote the details by hand. The theme was ⚾️. I found Atlanta Braves invitations from Party City!

I use stainless steel straws. They are handy for me because I need to keep my fluid intake up, and sipping from a straw helps me do that. I also will wash and bleach water sterilize longer plastic straws to use in my big cooler cups, because the stainless ones I have are too short.
The ends of the stainless straws are rounded off, and they are safer in that regard as compared to plastic straws…I have as yet to find a plastic straw that the edges are rounded off. and unless you are doing something you shouldn’t do with your drinks to begin with, and are supervising your young children when they use them, stainless steel straws are a great tool to use to help with your fluid intake.
Your my favorite & only one I watch. Goodwill is way to expensive.They separate all the high end stuff they have some high-end Goodwill stores that are all name brand. Everything's chipped, broken, way to expensive. I donate my things to a thrift store like yours, Value village or a shelter.
I was told at our local Goodwill in Logansport Indiana that they changed the prices across the board at all the stores.

My only goodwill in town is considered a warehouse very few quality items. They also ship local donations out of town.
