Danni, Some Vegas history...When Ceasars was built in Las Vegas, they expected to be a big hit with Chinese gamblers. But the Chinese boycottted Ceasars Casino.
Ceasars researched why and found out that it was because the very large elephants at their entrance had trunks that hung down and the Chinese thought they would lose luck if they entered and gambled there.
Ceasars had an innstant remodel and the offending elephants were gone.
Omg! You should have bought the bag of bias binding/hemming tape! Sewers would definitely pay a $ a piece!! Enjoy your videos!

I was kind of amused when you came upon those 2 small brown canisters with the carved look plastic tops. I had the complete set. 2 large tall canisters and the 2 small went on top of the taller ones. They are indeed vintage. My sister in law gave them to me as a gift in the 70’s . They were cheap back then . I’m amused because being vintage elevates their worthiness. I liked them and they got a lot of wear. I don’t know where they are now. Time sure goes by fast. I’m 72 now , wondering when that happened lol
That little carpenter bear at the beginning would be such a fun Father’s Day gift for the dad who’s Mr. Fix It imo.

The sculptures are ant sculptures created by pouring melted aluminum down ant homes then digging them out after they dry.
and those were pretty ugly. 🙂

Nothing was missing on the Cinderella. I have the angel like that. When you turn her on it spins and swirls the glitter in her skirt. Really pretty
Those are termite colony sculptures. Or ant colony. You pour lead into top of the mound and it flows through the tunnels and hardens. It is then dug up and cleaned off. Well done pieces are worth good money.
Elephant lovers love them whether their trunk is up or down
I have gotten elephants with trunks both up and down. Doesn’t matter to me if I’m in love with the piece ❤

Hi Danni. I love pictures I can put into albums. I will never go all digital. I still write checks. People that take pictures and have them on there phone will be sorry someday. After losing loved ones after loved ones in the last 2 yrs. I am THANKFUL for printed pictures and my family album ❤

Yes Danni, the older you get the faster time goes. The sectioned box is a shadow box for displaying miniatures. A cling stamp clings to an acrylic block when using it.
The orange enamel mugs would be cute for Halloween with black brush trees in them! 😃

I think the two art pieces you picked up were Ant Sculptures. Project piece.
I thought I was having a dejavu moment with you, then I realized Tiffany just shipped this store and looked at the some of the same items.
FYI, Cling stamps are just stamps that are used with an acrylic block they just cling to it, so you can remove it and use all of the stamps in the set with just one block and not needed to be glue on like wooden stamp that are permanently on the wood.

I love the wooden slabs. My husband had one of our trees cut down and I had him have the guy cut me a couple of big slabs . I love them. I also bought some small ones. They are so popular now. 🥰

Danni, the cling stamps 45:12 are just unmounted stamps (not adhered to wood) that have a “clingy” side that ”sticks” temporarily to an acrylic block or other stamping platforms that you then press on your paper. p.s. So great to hear about you hopefully getting a house! I sent up a prayer 🙏 that you’ll get this house and it’ll be YOUR house! ❤

Danni with all the good things you get done in a day, there is nothing wrong with a little fast food. Especially since your kids are grown and in reality can certainly fen for themselves. Better to grab the fast food and sit down as a family and eat. Tacos can be healthy too. Enjoy all your shopping trips.

Since I'm seeing this a few days late, I don't know if you got your answer but at the risk of repeating it... that wooden tray for a miniture display is called a 'Shadow Box.' I have several myself. I love them too. That one is extra nice since it has the corner trim. Great find & price. Congrats.

At 5:20, I'll guess the sculpture might represent 3 generations. From left to right, daughter, mom, and grandma. It gave me that vibe based on the 3 different skirt lengths. 😉
Best of luck with a house purchase. I agree with you, the older you get, the faster time seems to go by. The cling stamps are thinner due to no wood block and are easier to store. They are either rubber such as those you showed with stickers that show the image on the back or made of clear polymer. They cling to a clear acrylic block or are placed in a clear stamping platform. It allows you to see how the image is placed as well as you can repeat stamp with a platform so the image stamps again in the same placement.
Watching this and was quite surprised to see the metal wine basket. I have one that I picked up years ago for about $2 😱

I saw Decatur Blvd and tha antique mall is one of my favorites when I come into town. I live in Pahrump. I just started posting jewelry on poshmark. Just to self conscious to start on you tube. Yes we have pollen here all year long. Of course I’m allergic to everything in all 4 seasons! My voice goes, my head/face hurt from the sinus pressure, I have more Migraines during this time, the pollen makes me nauseated 🤢, & on & on! So I feel ‘ya!

I buy directly off of her when she goes to goodwill, flea markets, estate sales, garage sales! I wait until the end, see what it’s worth, and then I tell her I’ll be sending her an email. I make my bid and she either accepts it or not. I usually make an honest bid offering slightly more to help cover the expenses she incures when selling.

I learned elephant trunks that are up are good luck/wealth and you point the elephant’s head towards your front door to welcome it into your home (info from colleagues I worked with.
On the little wood circles, last year I bought some off Amazon, had a Christmas picture made of my husband and I and gave them to our family members.

Regarding the glass paperweight. In st Peter’s Basilica in Rome, at the top of the dome that stands over 400 feet high over the main alter, is a stained glass installation of the Holy Spirit that looks just like the image under the glass you were holding!
