Amazing video mate, truly. Would you be able to do a tutorial video on how you made this? If you get time of course.

Thanks! Try Saburrtooth burs. They are another great choice to carve with.

What kind of wood was that?

      Has to be pine.

This one in particular was made from scrap pine.

If you tack the wood down with steel nails and then use the abrasive wheel, aren't you ruining the wheel?

I use the grinder lightly on the surface. It doesn't go deep enough to hit any screws/nails.

    Dremel?

Pretty but it’s not a bird house.
Bird houses MUST have a clean out door. Do your research. Could easily be added.

The face comes off to have easy access to clean out the birdhouse.

Did not see that. Critical to get rid of old nesting, mites, etc.

Folks always say this, and many houses that I make & sell have fronts that lift for cleaning. But, i have many nest boxes in our garden that are used year after year, primarily bluebirds & nuthatches & Carolina Wrens. I never clean out & the birds come back. Maybe in areas where it doesn’t get below freezing it’s good to clean out to get rid of any parasites.

This is too small an artificial nest. I understand that a small nest is easier to make, but it is useless. You should either glue the boards into a shield, or take wider blanks or boards...

Birds seem to loves the houses. I always have some in the wood spirits.
