- Hi guys today I will be sharing my recipe for Chocolate chiffon cake
Ingridients that we need to make the cake are although I converted everything in cups weighing the ingridients is the best way to go
180 g cake flour or 1 cup +1 tbs spoon
7 egg yolk
180 g sugar or 3/4 cup
1 tsp of baking powder
150 ml milk
1 tsp of instant coffee
100 ml vegetable oil
1/2 cup cocoa powder or 60 g
FOr the meringue
7 egg whites
1/2 cream of tartar
1/2 cup of sugar
FOr the Ganache
12 oz 340 g of cooking chocolate
12 oz of cream
FOr the whipped cream filling
3/4 cup whipping cream
3 tbs icing sugar

Hello there! I tried this recipe and we all loved it! We used nonstick springform pan to bake the cakes and it shrinked although it was still yummy thanks for your recipe :)

Hi! I just tried this and it’s really good. The only thing is, when I turned the pan upside down, the cake fell. I left the cake covered with the pan until it cooled down. I only put wax paper and did not grease the pan. It’s still good though. Light and airy. How can I avoid it from falling off though?

I have a question. As I see in this recipe, you used baking powder. But in Mocha Chiffon Cake recipe, you didn't. Are there any differences between using and not using baking powder?

No cream of tartar is different from baking powder, cream of tartar stabilises the eggwhites , you can substitute cream of tartar with white vinegar or lemon juice

i use all purpose flour too. 1 cup cake flour= 3/4 all purpose + 1/4 corn flour, taste the same for me.

We are human and words will hurt no matter how thick a skin we have and unfortunately that's what you open yourself up to when you put yourself out in public. The only things you can do with a public video is monitor and delete the negative comments or ignore them.

jehu glaraga you can but there will be a slight difference in texture, you can make your own cake flour though if you want, for every cup of plain flour take out 3 tbsp and replace it with 3 tbsp of corn flour or cornstarch and sift it 3x.

bubbacanlas Is it the chocolate shavings you are asking? on top of the cake ? I achieve that by melting the chocolate and then putting it in a parchment paper thinly then I scrape it off , :D baking is something that we can all learn , I am sharing now because I am grateful for those people who shared their knowledge for us to all learn, :D

Vanz Ventidoz , when making ganache make sure that it is full fat thats the most important thing, you may call it double dream or here in australia we call it thickened cream, just avoid reduce fat or light cream , hope this help
