I put this reel on a panfish rod, my 6-year-old Granddaughter reeled in a 4lb Smallmouth Bass with it. I was impressed with how it handled. I love the Daiwa Tatula series reels.

How does it compare to the Alphas SV TW?
Is this different from the JDM Alphas SV in any way other than color scheme? Love my Alphas but like damn you don’t have to name everything a Tatula

The alphas has a 32mm spool with the short spool shaft and double bearing supported pinion gear. The tatula 70 has a 30mm spool with the long spool shaft and a single bearing supported pinion gear.

@@TerpDerp No? Not even close. The steez reels are their flagship. Even the alphas are above the Tatula. The Tatula is more of an entry level reel.

Looks great other than that plastic handle nut plate. That fake chrome looks so bad. The aluminum color coded Daiwa plates always looked so good with the exposed covered nut. This looks as bad as the very first original Tatula did...

I would say Power BFS. It'll definitely throw lures in the 5 gram mark. I consider BFS anything lower than 1/8th of an ounce. (3.5 grams)
