Wow, I just did the exact reverse of this operation last week! I had a fancy Troybilt TB360 with a deck that was rotted the same way, so I transplanted the whole thing onto a nice clean deck from a simple push mower. My personal mower is a Toro TimeMaster, so I decided to keep the huge Briggs 875exi engine from the Troybilt as a spare for my Toro (same engine). I bolted a Honda GCV-160 onto the TB360 mower, and in spite of the nasty drought here the Honda powered TB360 sold very quickly. Like you I save all the plastics, wheels, cables and hardware too…it has saved my butt numerous times!
