- Road trip in our 1961 Shasta, Wanda, to a vintage trailer sanctuary to explore some rare trailers in search of our next restoration project. Meet Gary, my friend and owner of Vintage Trailer Rescue as he shows us around some really cool, some VERY rare trailers! www.vintagetrai...
(I can't get the link to go live, just copy and paste please)
There was no website for the place we camped, but it is called Mountain Valley RV Park in Tehachapi, Ca. :)

This is absolutely awesome. Where is this place ? I love old vintage trailers.
I live in a 1974 Vanguard 18ft travel trailer. Not as old as these trailers but at 50 years old its getting there.
Vintage is vintage no matter how you slice it! Our first trailer was a 1971 Shasta and it was so cool! I bet yours is just as cute 😊
At 740 he says what a great trailer,,,,,but shaking his head no ,,,when people are saying something positive but shaking there head in a no manner , i tend to not believe what they are saying , its like there lieing but there head cant help but tell the truth ...... am i wrong ? If you like it you would shake your head in a yes manner wouldnt you ? Maybe its just me ...
Haha. I just went back and watched it. I do indeed do that!! It IS a great trailer (I’d love to get it but I only have my driveway so the smaller ones are best for me), the head thing is something I do when I’m excited, like I can’t believe I get to explore these great old beauties. I’ll have to re-watch my “Trailer Graveyard”, “Free Trailer?!” And “This is Amazing” videos and see if I do the same thing there, because I was pretty excited to explore those as well and I’m definitely not lying!! Thanks for watching and for the comment!!
I’m agreeing with that! Body motion tells the truth of the matter!! I’m a nurse on surgical/trauma unit and mouth says one thing and urine drug test tells a whole diff story of why crashed into another vehicle or tree!!
I saw that too
too much work and money,,,,,,goodbye
💸
55ry widow.just purchased 1969 fireball. Please help
Congrats! What help are you needing?
Come to my house and redo my roof for me on my 89 Toyota dolphin I just bought. lol.
Toyota Dolphin?? 🐬 Love to see what that looks like!
Love the old trailer's. So much style class cosyness to them!
So true! I can’t get enough!
Just subscribed!! I could spend all day looking at All the trailers!! The jewels you found in these trailers are Beautiful!! Your clock, that starburst ceiling lamp & green burst kitchen laminate (both my favs), wall sconces, cushions, fridges, stoves, windows, etc.
Great to have you on board, thanks for subscribing!! I could forage through trailers forever and never be bored!! And there’s more on the way!
You should see what I have it's a 1983 Nomad camper.. it is still in amazing condition.. it does need some work.. I'm getting to it slowly.. it needs a hot water tank water lines and a new furnace everything else Works in this thing.. I need to get on the roof and put on a new rubber coating.. the furnace will be the last one because that's going to be too expensive for me..I'm in Arkansas..
That’s awesome! Good luck on it and thanks for watching!
@@WhatWouldJasonDo yeah my camper still needs work it needs a new hot water tank.. water lines and the furnace is going to really soak me.. I don't think I'm going to be able to replace that furnace..
So good! Love seeing you nerd out kid
Haha! You know me so well… 🤓
I love that Spartan IM! I have a '54, and yes, they're quite the project! Looks like he has some nice Spartanettes too. The Roadmaster had steel siding because Aluminum wasn't available due to the Korean War. Spartan had trouble along that line too.
Yeah there are some real beauties there for sure! Is your ‘54 a project, restored or original? Thanks for watching!
@@WhatWouldJasonDo Trashed. I'd post a pic just to scare you, but the 'tube won't let me and you don't appear to scare easily!😆
@@ronaldsmith6829 haha! I’ve seen some pretty messed up rigs it’s true! Are you going to restore it?
@@WhatWouldJasonDo In the collecting parts stage. I also have several Spartanettes in line ahead of it. Right now, the Imperial is dry storage.
Ah! Love Gary and your friendship. This is a beautiful video of his incredible collection, omg part 2 will show the moonlit animal stampede!!!!! Make a playlist of your fav videos and put this one one it

❤TFS!
So much good stuff, there’s definitely a part 2 in the offing!
where is this place?
It’s out in the high desert near Bakersfield. Dry and HOT!🥵
@@WhatWouldJasonDo ok thank you
So cool!
Right?! So many cool trailers, and many we didn’t even get to. This could be its own series!
Right on. I’m stoked to see Wanda finished. Get it up.
The link to Gary also doesn’t work
I know! It won’t paste as a live link. I’ll keep trying :)
And BTW Wanda’s not done yet, but we got all of the cabinets that are missing now! Video up on that as well, just in case 😀
I was in AWWWW, ty for sharing 😊
Thanks so much for watching! It was so much fun, I’ll be going back soon soon to tour some trailers that aren’t in the video!
Epic trailer fun! Thanks for taking us along for the ride. 😅
Thanks Duke! You’re going to love looking at his 1930’s and 40’s models!!
Who wants to start a trailer renovation project i have 2 of these..for aale.
Nice! But you’ll need to be more specific, there’s a lot of different makes and models of “these” in the video!
That Bowlus is amazing. Is he going to restore it?
I actually didn’t ask and didn’t even look inside, although I believe it was gutted (don’t quote me on that!). He did say it wasn’t for sale and I do plan on another trip to see him in the not too distant future, so we will look at that as well as some really cool rigs from the ‘30’s and ‘40’s he has!
Cuanto costará la spartan más grande? La mansion
La Mansion no para La venta
Homeless shelters
❤️
Ham-full shelters! 😂
Jason, you are in Travel Trailer Candyland🍭Of Pure Enjoyment. always, Tommy🤠
I think I got a few cavities!!! 😂😂🍬🍫🍭🤤
Between my wife and I, there’s a lot more footage so I’ll probably do a part 2 very soon!
Gary, not The other Gary or my dad Gary (from the previous video😳) also has some rare frogs from the 30’s and 40’s that we’ll get into another time. The interiors are completely ridiculous!! So pretty.
@@WhatWouldJasonDo 🤣Is That The🦷& The Whole RV Trailer🦷?
@@WhatWouldJasonDo Excellent Jason. Question, "when are you going to leave your day job & build a nice Pole Barn & start colllecting Classic RV Trailers📸& Restore📸& have on display like Jay Leno does with his Car Restoration Collection? Hollywood would cum & pick to use in Movies🎥🎬🎞one of your Classic Restored RV Trailers, In Mint Condition Jason. It could happen. always, Tommy🤠

Subscribed. 1st video that caught my eye searching for "Steel Travel Trailer." I "rescued" a rescue from a rescuer. I've been too busy getting it moved and shoveled out to research what I have.
Following along in this video, I'm seeing some design cues that suggested it's probably early 1960. It's probably a park model. It's steel, not aluminum sided, and it's 40' long. Had a full bathroom with an enameled tub.
I haven't really filmed it yet for my channel, and it's not in a good spot to do so. There are a couple of shorts from when I was moving it and right after backing it in before I tarped it.
Thanks for the sub! The only steel trailer I’ve come across was that Roadmaster. At first I thought it was paint! Love to see yours once you have it up on your channel, I’ve subscribed in anticipation. :) Looks like you have the metal background for it! I’ve done over a dozen trailers and have seen many more, I’ll help ID if I am able. Have a great day!
just found your chanell ...love it...will subscribe
Thank you so much! So glad you’re here!
