Such a great build to show off the creativity one can do through modding. Those Dark glitched shadows and be resolved by putting shadows on Low. Saw city planner do that in a live stream some days ago.
@@skilzthatkilz11 Yeah the Roundabout shadows. They also appear on retaining walls. It has something to do with shadows from the terrain and from what i saw CPP do was just putting shadow quality to low.
Wow! Your ability to custom make assets like this new train station is unmatched. Really good job with it. Hope your Europe trip was good and welcome back!
haven't seen your channel pop up before mate but i have to say im impressed and gonna subscribe! i've never seen stuff like this done in CS2 yet. reminds me of all the old CS1 trick we'd have to do! so creative, great work.
Loving this and all the detail and time you put into it! The patterned tiles under the little triangle and especially under the trees look very European imo, love that lil detail there. Happy I've found so many new creators recently to follow and admire 👍
Super cool train station. I need such things as ploppable assets now! Or at least having them easier to build oneself, i cant be bothered to spend quite that amount of time on just a station.
Ha honestly I think I went overboard here, I need to find a balance with detailing, city expansion, and actual management... But yeah, can't wait for the asset importer so things like this are ploppable.
@@skilzthatkilz11 not sure but it’s possible. I have the custom asset pack and have no issues. Just need to make sure it gets loaded before entering your city
New to the channel, very happy i found it! Absolutely incredible build, didnt even know you could do builds like this in cs2. You made me proper chuckle by the palpatine voice, plz keep doing voices. Keep it up dude!
I've been a fan of this game since 2017/18 and this is possibly the most impressive CS build I've ever seen (and i consume A LOT of CS content) I wish you could upload this to Paradox Mods but I don't think that's possible yet. Keep it up man !
Hey thanks! DH is absolutely unreal, always love his stuff. And yes I feel comfortable recommending the game now! Especially after the detailer's patch and Econ 2.0. Custom assets should be out in another month or so to (fingers crossed)
The paths to the tram are extremely steep. Maybe put the covered path on either sides and get gentle slopes for the descending paths. They’ll be connected to both the bus and the train.
The general areas should have the hang out zone to increase activity in those areas. You could do it in the seating area and the top roof level to give more pedestrian activity and make them feel like plazas.
13:46 uhhh, yeah, that would be red.. I assume you're colorblind though this is the first video that I'm watching from you 😅 Green is at like 1/3 of that first hue bar. It's basically the color that the doors were already
maybe do some sort of custom skatepark in that empty area on top of central station. whole lot of concrete could work well with some of the skatepark assets
You should definitely do a European build they’re cities are so interesting and visually stunning. Especially great public transportation and so many pedestrian friendly areas.
I hope that they would create a real slab in the game where you can make is as the base of a building, base of the road, textures, trees, land, and water that water will also stay there. This is also what is missing in CS 1, where we cannot create a functional viaduct. where you can also zone it.
If you aren't opposed to having dev tools enabled there is a check box to disable homeless, this is of course a temporary solution until you get housing addressed. Bye Bye Homeless will only work for those that are bugged and not just walking around.
@@skilzthatkilz11 Yes absolutely. Just watch out for the bugged ones. The mod will get rid of the stuck ones as long as the game isn't paused. I toggle it on and off to see if I'm actually making a dent.
Is it possible to place elevated parks on the top of the sunken train station? Or do they just snap to terrain like buildings. If not then can you place a park asset just to make it look like there is a park?
@@skilzthatkilz11 The idea is everyone travelling on that corridor should use the tram. The buses should trundle around the non-tram parts, dropping people off at interchange spots for them to get the tram. In real life, planners want the buses to not clog the same roads the trams use where possible.
Building a European City in CS2 is not really that possible, since plots are not always 90° angles. As soon as you are off by a little bit the plots have these huge gaps that makes it really annoying to build european.
I don't think the square zoning mechanics will ever change, but my hope is that Move It + Regional Asset packs will go a long way in making it possible. (Speaking of, I tried to build a small European village in the next episode haha)
Beautiful work my friend, super creative. That roof is just wowzers trousers

We'll see what people build when the asset importer is finally finished! Maybe something like that will finally be possible ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Not having direct access from the tram stop to the train station without crossing the road seems a bit of a wasted opportunity.
I like to think there's an elevator behind the underground wall haha
Man I wish I had these detailing skills. My city is nice but it doesn’t look like a detailers city
you should get the Ctrl+C mod it will make it much easier to do the pillar work.
Is that pretty stable now? I was wary of the "alpha" label...
Every time I’ve used it, it’s worked for me but I don’t do as detailed builds as you or some other TH-camrs.

Ah no I tried this off screen, it had to be attached to a road and yeah it snaps to the terrain, which puts it underneath the quay walls
@skilzthatkilz11 yeh that's unfortunate. I mean you could just leave it. It looks incredible, I can't believe you did all of it.
you should have just put a custom coffee store that can work and make all stores work
Like get a road down there?
@ if possible I think you would get even more foot traffic if you had real stores making the grand station feel more alive
fyi that bus line is pretty bad as you need to take huge detours if you want to travel in the opposite direction of the loop, so maybe change that
also some office station above the train station like at frankfurrt airport would be dope
Oh yeah, pure laziness that I didn't do the opposite direction haha. Wanted to see the usage first.
That'd be sick! Once I unlock high density office, I'll definitely start peppering those in around Central Station
