Serge Lutens A La Nuit was my gateway to niche perfumes. I also have and love Vanille de bois, Datura Noir, Fleurs doranger, Fille de Berlin and I have Louve and Feminite du bois in my wishlist. Big hug from Shanghai 😘

@@mywaynoura dear I just got Van Cleef and Arpels California Reverie and had to write you! It is love at first sniff! The jasmine is dominant but fresh and lighthearted. It is quite sweet but elegant and dreamy. It has gone straight to my number 2 Jasmine being A la Nuit my first but more for a sensual night time while California Reverie is more a day fresh scent.

@@unboxingluxury1018 Thanks a lot for the mention 😍 I am familiar with California Reverie, but I smell more the frangipani than Jasmine and for personal reasons related to my childhood I can't tolerate it unfortunately although I see that it a beautiful scent for sure 😊

@@unboxingluxury1018 you have to like sweet creamy fragrances. Are you familiar with Tubereuse Imperiale from BDK?

i'm wondering, did you try dior's dolce vita? on fragrantica feminite du bois and dolce vita shares some similitaries. i really love dolce vita. quite vintage for my taste but it is gorgeous too. Loves!

Not yet! I read the same on fragrantica and it has the same perfumer so probably they are very similar.

Hi! I smelled Dolce Vita today and was reminded of your comment so I wanted to tell about them. They share some similarities in the drydown, but overall I wouldn't say they are similar. Feminité Du Bois has also better performance.

@@mywaynoura unfortunately when i watched your video for the second time i saw that you were talking about dolce vita. I'm sorry I wasn't patient enough the first time.
I was embarrassed at that moment for rushing to write a comment. :) After watching your video( at least two times) on reviewing feminite du bois, the perfume became the center of my attention. I want to get the decant soon and try it. the reviews i've read are that feminite du bois is darker and bolder than dolce vita.

Salut!

I used to love this scent when it was made by SHISEIDO . That was a real masterpiece 🤗- hands down . I still have a small sample of that version. Smoother , less sharp and megggga long lasting ❤️.
Serge Lutens composition is just a Memory of the original fragrance from 90's .
I bought it , have it - first formulation - but I do not love it ( too medicinaal scent )- just like it .
P.S. It is similar to Dolce Vita , for sure . DV is maybe more sunny , lighter version . Long lasting as well .
I prefer Dolce Vita ( or old formula from Shiseido :-) than FdB from S. Lutens .

I wish I could get my hand on the old formulation, but I guess I can have an idea of how it smelled by smelling Dolce Vita 😊 I know what you mean because for example the great fragrances of the 80's and the 90's are all a shadow of their formal glory now. I still have the vintage Coco Chanel EDP and it's nothing like the one in the market now. It's a shame!
