absolutely ... and very nice, informative, detailed, perfect review, subbed instantly! I also do the same hobby or addiction :D ... and also a huge fan of SL ... very precious, hi quality collection you have :) i have 3 of them ... Chergui (since 2017) , Ambre Sultan and Santal Majuscule (since 2023) ... love all of them !
Thank you for this video. Just subscribed. I feel like info re: Serge Lutens is hard to find these days. Really enjoyed your video + all of the connective images and storytelling, which honors the artists making the work. The next time I go to Paris I need to see the boutique, I hear it is a gothic masterpiece. I love looking at his work for Dior, and hope to see his home some day. Listening to your video again + need to make my own soon. Thank you so much. Beautiful collection.
Sorry late to the party … I too love datura noir and just got fils de joie and really like that one as well ! Would like to get more from SL - thanks very much for the detailed house review 😊
I really love this brand. I have a few bottles and I’m slowly making my way through trying more and more. Tubereuse Criminelle was one of the first I ever tried. So expensive these days but I have a decant and love wearing it. Also have a decant of Fille en Aiguilles which is beloved by many. It’s beautiful but not a love somehow. I also just scored a bottle of Clair de Musc which is discontinued and I think hard to find. Just the most beautiful white musk I’ve ever smelled. So many more I’d love to explore.
After I filmed this video I realized I had forgotten to show Fille en Aiguilles... I'll have to talk about it in some other (winter) video! I'll be happy to share my thoughts about it 🤓
Serge Lutens is an artist. I started collecting his offerings. Santal Majuscule and La fille de berlin are my favourite. The next ones Im getting are feminite du bois and jeux de peau
Hello Kate this is first time me checking out your videos. Gotta admit you have a little bit russian n in your pronunciation or i am trippin. Your video is great especially i liked the part you put visual association of note. Huge fan of this house, they overall make very lushious oriental fragrance with depth. I have noticed that in this huge collection of Serge are two parts in which people go, more manly notes and fragrances and some more feminine which the house is more representative of the house and surely made more sound in the game of niche. Havent tried few of that you mentioned but those which i like most from house is for sure Chergui, i would say powdery tobacco oriental, many people mention it as something cozy but to me is very sensual. Ambre Sultan is at the same time very hard herbal amber but very opulent and sweet, making that two opossites i really appreciate as amber done well, also think people overestimate Grand Soir which goes very deep vanillic amber not what classical french perfumery is. My personal no 1 is Fille en Aiguilles i have first edition, just abeautiful nostalgic fragrance that plays with incense balsam fir and fruity accord, done so easily like but very beautiful and evocative. I also appreciate very much Cuir Mauresque which is very hard to find these days in older packages, leather done beautiful. The fragrance that Lutens wore himself, it is mixture of little bit animalic notes done with jasmin, in the base of cinnamon and amber, overall very goth like made sweet leather. Kind a modern twist on a parisian chic women from 20 s with character of modern woman. Another one i really like is Fumerie Turque , tobacco honeyed flowery patchouli scent. Really tobacco done realistic but very sweet enjoyable. The two i really like to try are Sarrasins which they say is most beautiful dirty fruity jasmin done ever, and also Fourrea Noir which is a rare combination of lavender like herbal one but done gourmand almond like. Both are in bell jars but would happily have them. Overall a great house, one of the frontiers in niche dna, Christopher Sheldrake as parfumeur with Serge is one of the most respected man in game, Serge has story very misterious behind each fragrances and Sheldrake does it very clever with some ease to it. Anyway hope you make great videos like this, best regards from Mediterranean
Thank you so much for your kind words! Oh yes, I tried some of the "bell" scents in Paris this June, and my wish list has become so much longer 😁 And yes, I do have an accent, I was born in Moscow 🙂 Thanks for your notes about favorite fragrances, you described them soo appealing!

Loved the review. I went into Liberty (London) a few years back specifically to try Chergui and un Bois Vanille but found them to be a bit sweet for me. Very impressed by the hay and tobacco notes in Chergui though. I bought Ambre Sultan and agree with you that it’s a beautiful oriental for Autumn/Winter. La Fille de Berlin is on my wish list, hopefully next year ❤
A daring house, very intricate and quirky blends, most are incredible. Have some favorites myself. Enjoyed the details gorgeous, looking fantastic. ❤️😘

This is a very good video, I barely know other scents in this line, now i know more thanks to you. im about to head to store and get a mini gift set of some of these and if i like them, ill go for a bottle. 😊
Hi Kate - excellent overview - new sub here! This is one of my favorite houses; I have 9 full bottles and 6 travel decants. The one I have the most trouble with is L’Orpheline. I keep revisiting it hoping I’ll change my mind 🤷🏼♀️. My favorite is Fils de Joie ❤️
@@jillshorten3457 thanks for letting me know! I tried it only once on a blotter, so don't really know how it develops. I heard many times that men love it actually 🤔
My favorites are Muscs Koublai Khan, Rose de Nuit and Chergui. I wish they came in the old palais bottles…but yeah. I need to try Sarrasins, Iris Silver Mist and Borneo 1834

I used to love Serge Lutens Fleurs de Orangier, but then a few years ago they changed the formulation and made blander, lighter, flater annd more powdery. It lost that deeper, heavier floral smell. What a shame.
The house is great. But the customer service on their official page is crap .I will never buy a perdume again from them.I had the worst experience.I will purchase only for retailers.I am so mad.I am still waiting of a perfume that i ordered and i have not got it yet and they dont respond on my e mails😢
Are you familiar with Serge Lutens fragrances? Which ones are your favorite? Or which ones you would like to try?
