It not only works for hair, but I’ve used it to give motion to dangly earrings and necklaces, skirts, dangling wires, shoe laces… anything that can be wiggly / dangly like hair ! It’s such a quick work around and honestly so much cleaner than doing it all by hand… thank you so so much. I found this video WAAAY before I ever even started learning how to animate my illustrations in after effects, and remembered it recently now that I’m actually trying to learn. It’s been a tough two weeks and I went by without doing much with hair to getting instantly amazing results. You’re seriously a life saver.

I'm really confused when it comes down to the separating each strand part. You went really fast. I use the path tool and mask out a strand and then what do I do to move onto the next one?
Your tutoring is SO GOOD. Everything from how you present whether the next bit is relevant to the viewer, like at 25:28 , to your tutoring style as a whole: to-the-point, but laid-back enough for us to follow.
Wow, nice job on that script. I've modified scripts based on Dan Ebberts work to simulate hair bouncing when the head moves, but my scripts are kindergarten level compared to what you've produced. Much appreciate your generosity at providing that script for free.

Depending on your needs, perhaps you can use a more simple solution. The purpose of this script is to deliver a way to animate complex hair. :P
