    With the amount of knowledge from this video alone, I can only imagine what's in store for the rest of the course! I like how the head animation was visualized in profile view. It helped me have a better grasp on the rules behind heads in perspective.

    How do u create shadows? Are u using 3d layers?

    • @plainlysimple
      @plainlysimple  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, we're not using 3d layers here. The shadows are done using shapes (pen tool) and animate the path. 😊

    Please, make the course available on its own somewhere. I am sorry for being selfish, but I went through CLASS101 and apart from your course I didn't find anything else useful to me. It's kind of pointless to pay 200 dollars for a yearly subscription when all I will ever use there is your class. Keep up the amazing work!

    is it possible to for example animate lips by replacing layers? Like going from :3 to XD with facial expression. I imagine sometimes it's way too difficult to edit one layer into different shapes and so using another one is much better, but at the same time, I can't imagine how to do it. This question coming from a person who used to make old-fashioned gifs by just making different frames by hand - but this old method isn't smooth.

      Hi! Yes it's possible to animate the lips by replacing the layers or a similar method. There are plugins that help you do this. I think DUIK has a tool for this. But it's also possible to animate it with just the path animation method. It's going to be more complex to get it right but the result is also smoother.

    Lovely. Maybe the eyes should also look down when the head tips forward? xx

    did u create the illustration on AE?
    I wonder if we create the illustration on AI how to convert it?
    btw it is great tutorial thank you for sharing.

    • @plainlysimple
      @plainlysimple  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The illustration was originally done in Adobe Illustrator. It was done by our character designer but I recreated it in After Effects so that I can be sure that the points are exactly where I want them to be. But you can convert .ai files to shape layers in After Effects. 😊

    Hello! You guys are the studios who created an animation for federalism back in 2016 I believe. May I know where to access the video? The animation and info is really interesting, I remember.

      @plainlysimple  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi we don't have that on our channel anymore. Just search for federalism plainly simple here on TH-cam and you'll see it reposted on other channels
