I remember reading this poem in class a few semesters ago. Never heard it read aloud by Langston Hughes, though! I loved the way people talked back then. I feel like people had such a softness and genuine tone when they spoke.

I am a...south american, from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil's southern state. Even not being a black sister, I've actually noticed this poem the night before, during a This is Us' Netflix episode. Now there's no doubt. This is the best series ever, well written, played by a fine and sensitive cast.
