I never thought a video of Dasha crying (over her onions) would ever be posted) I love olivier salad! I think people often make it slightly differently but I'm sure it's very tasty with salmon included. Salmon is so cheap to buy in Russia! If you choose carefuly where you buy it, the quality of fish is excellent. In Great Britain salmon is very expensive and almost considered to be a luxury food.

Thank you very much for this nice video Dasha. Love your stories and i love this salad. In Brazil we also like this salad but we call it Mayonnese Salad but we do it without the fish . I will try that way. On New Year many brazilians like to do a brazilian barbacue ( we grill beef, sausages and chicken ) and eat it with rice , beans, mayonnese salad and beans maybe

Новы год мы готовим рыбу с картошкой я живу в Италии
Santa comes at midnight in Alabama also, especially Moscow Alabama.
У каждого свой рецепт этого салата. У нас например вместо колбасы (которую мы теперь тоже считаем пресной) куриное филе предварительно маринованное в соевом соусе с луком, медом. Его можно пожарить, но лучше аэрогриль или что-то подобное.
Обычно, люди редко меняют свои привычки и чужие рецепты остаются чужими, но с красной рыбкой я обязательно попробую!
А, мы еще после добавления майонеза добавляем черный молотый перец

Hi Dasha. You mentioned that this salad might look to strangers. Well, in Portugal we have a side dish very similar to this (it is a side dish, so no meat or fish) that is called "salada russa" (Russian salad). As I was watching your video, the name just came to my head. It seems too strange to be a coincidence. So it looks like "our" Russian salad is indeed Russian. Who would know?
I’m sure some Russian person brought it to Portugal. At first people hated it, but later they loved it 😂
