Hello @JuanCamacho. I have a Samsung smart television that I bought new about 6 years ago and I have 2 different types of Rokus. Each Roku was updated to the latest system update (following your steps) but the “Airplay and Home Kit” option did not appear in the “System” section after the update. Why is this? Is it my TV? Is it the Roku I have? I have a Roku express and a Roku 3. I am going to get a new TV soon but until then I wanted this to work.

Thanks for the help, Juan. A very minor tip for your viewers, when you describe the process for the system update you can actually scroll up on the ROKU menu instead of scrolling all the way to the bottom. This of course works for anything you wish to do with the menu, I just mention the system update for a reference point. As I say, it's a very minor tip but time is precious.

Very Helpful. I was trying to setup the way the tv advised me to do. Kept saying “device not found. Connect with Ethernet”. Lol then I did a quick search on TH-cam. Within seconds I was connected!!!

my app won’t open. It has this little note on the side that says “please enable fast tv”. When i enabled fast tv it still didn’t work.

What should I do if after I press on my device no code shows up and it just keeps loading until it pops up an error message saying "Unable to connect to... Roku TV."? I have reset my iPad and TV but nothing seems to work... Please help!

Any advice for your iphone not finding the roku during set up but I can use the standard casting icon (window with the three wifi lines in the corner) to cast from TH-cam to the roku using my phone. So my phone can read the roku to cast from TH-cam Hulu or any other app but it won’t find it during set to airplay. It says accessory not found
Try doing a hard shut down on the iphone and do it again

It just shows the airplay logo and then it cuts out back to the Roku settings screen instead of the airplay settings screen. Idk what to do and now it’s just stuck like this, there aren’t any other videos talking about this issue. Someone pls help!

@@begreat3543 make sure both devices are on the same internet. Go into settings and swipe to the airplay and homekit option and select automatic if its not checked

Mine worked for a while once i saw it existed for Roku.. before they was just casting with Roku remote using the media part for pics music..Airplay showed up outta nowhere one day and was more seamless than the roku remote app.. now its just gone.. reset everything.. forgot network on phone and roku.. re set up router.. reset router… out of options..maybe a glitch in roku update.. mine does it automatically who knows

Mine works fine to screen mirror and I can even watch TH-cam and Disney+ fine. However when I try to mirror Vudu, PrimeVideo, or Movies Anywhere to my Roku it takes me to the air play setup screen instead of playing the video and takes the Roku out of mirroring mode. It doesn’t say this isn’t allowed, it just kicks the roku to the screen that says make sure your device is on the same network. Is this the players like Vudu disallowing AirPlay?

@@ethancrozier8873 I don't think so. Near as I can tell this is the owners of those particular apps disallowing AirPlay on the Roku.

I have one question I’m trying to watch a show on sarfari and like it say on my phone it’s showing on the tv but it’s show like Airplay and my wifi network and choose this device how to I change it to the show?
My screen mirror used to work and now it doesn’t. I tried the airplay and it doesn’t work either.
If it doesn’t work for your television when you go to airplay and HomeKit it stalls out and goes back does that mean your TV will not do it
