A youth orchestra, a youth choir, two beautiful Swedish Sopranos and a world class conductor. The best performance of one of the world's greatest compositions. Thanks for this.

Stunning. Never knew how much I liked Mahler until this...
Ya-ya!
I'm pretty old. That said, I have listened to a lot of Mahler in my lifetime. This is the best interpretation of the Mahler 2nd Symphony that I have ever heard! Stellar work by the orchestra, and Gustavo Dudamel! ¡Buen trabajo a todos! ¡Gracias!
The mere enormity of Mahler's symphonies make them a once in a lifetime experience. I remember all the time, effort and 2 full sized orchestras it took to perform his Titan symphony. I will never forget it.
Secondo me è la migliore interpretazione della 2a Sinfonia di Mahler che abbia mai sentito! Opera straordinaria con l'orchestra Simon Bolivar diretta dal geniale Gustavo Dudamel!
Thank You so much for posting this! I was there in the choir - an unforgetable experience x
16:25 - that one trumpet: I'm shot, I'll sit this one out...
Simply supernatural.

i cant stop listening to the slower part at around 7:55 its so amazing ahhh
Excellent! I could not get to London to see this ... so thank you ...
Love this piece and the group that is playing it. Good job Dudamel!!!!!!
A performance in the grand manner! And this youth orchestra is world-class, as I have heard on other recordings. Beautiful!
Thank you for yours performance and uploading 🙏 ❤
Who can hear this and not love all life and humanity?
Totenfeier is one of the best first movement ever composed for a symphony imo…
Great!
Linda orquesta..👏 Excelente Director..👌
Una grande orchestra e un direttore eccellente
¡Gracias, Gustavo! ¡Gracias, amigos de la Simón Bolívar! ¡Gracias, diegowik for posting! ¡Que Dios os bendiga!
You have some very serious musical alchemy going on here. Keep an eye on the horn player, Rafael Payare. He did a master class with Bernard Haitink, in conducting. Among the top eight of twenty five chosen students, he came out on top. Having memorized Brahms Symphony No. 4 demonstrating confidence and command.
...and he has progressed even further since and has become one of the new generation must have conductors......!!!
I KNEW HE LOOKED FAMILIAR! He is now the conductor of the San Diego Symphony Orchestra which is the closest orchestra to where I live. He is outstanding, he brings such an amazing energy.

Note, the timpanists are playing from memory!
d1eg0_h: thank's a lot for your work on this !! may I ask you: why you? divide this in single movements now? before it was available as ONE; also, and I'm not shure...but is the video-quality more worse than before? why there's obviously no time to see more and a.a.l.b. longer impressions from the applause/behind scenery? rgs, RJJA

No, the correct answer is that 'it is Latin and it is beautiful and it rocks.'

They were like two seconds late at the beginning.
Yea what's up with that?

Will it be released in DVD?
who's here because of school
The correct answer is that this is a Venezuelan orchestra. Lots of different colors of people are musicians. Classical Music doesn't have a "face."
