Some parts of the old Downtown map seemed to have textures already. With the new San Vansterdam map they vanished though. Guess that’s a normal process during development when things change up.

most likely with "deluxe" versions, microtransactions and maybe a few bugs/ server issues, other than that i dont think they're gonna fuck up the general structure and gameplay from what i've playtested

im going to really miss having a campaign to play through when it releases. but i suppose in todays climate it has to just be a mp gaas game. also, after playing so much session this might feel like going back to tony hawks. i dont really like how each iteration gets more extreme, jumping off the ground and doing a triple backflip over a car sort of thing

@@jamesthorp4179 This was a long time ago so I can't tell you now I found it somewhere on like twitter or something. There's the skateworld discord now but I've heard rumours of it having viruses so use that at your own risk
The game will be free and its developed by ea, if you connect the dots you realize it will probably be filled with micro transactations

I dont understand why they had to go back to ground zero for development when they had Skate 3? Could use all the native files, base files, physics etc and tweak/improve them. What a waste of time.
The Skate series was originally developed by Black Box and went defunct in 2013 after EA made a number of layoffs to their studio. I assume the original code to the games was lost at some point during that. The studio making skate 4 is Full circle, comprised of 2 of the lead directors from the original games
Im not sure about 360, but i am sure that ps3 is a different architecture than ps4/ps5. Im pretty sure some of the code base can be translated, but they kay also be working with a new game engine since that gens game engine is severely outdated
