Jesus I was thinking in the start… how many times is he going to say “physics based” I actually started laughing at how consistent it was
idk if there's a plan to ever have the game not in a white void, but personally I love the "mini model" vibe of the detailed spot in the expanse.
I believe there is plans for that

I can’t say 100% but I did almost do a couple darkslides accidentally and they did seem “land-able” so I’d say you could probably do them.

really interested to see where the next generation of skate games goes. skater xl and session did a lot to move the genre forward, but they kinda feel like they've hit their ceiling
as the biggest fun of true skate I am really looking forward to this game's release

Ive watched this video about 3 or 4 times now. I wanna get my hands (feet) on this so bad!
Looks fun but I just can’t bring myself to play without a skater.
I mean it kinda is just like fingerboarding without a skater on the board. I’m sure it’s great but it simply doesn’t interest me with no one on the board.

So a True Skate for PC with better physics and multiplayer, I dig it
I like the real physics in this game.. its better then pseudo physics of skater XL and session and skate... True skate has been the only other game that has real physics real board physics... Hopefully we'll have full body animations that have sketchy landings also grind physics where you have to balance in your body moves in the correct way while you balance and manual balance I can just go on and on and on of what I've been wanting for so long
the grinds you can balance with movements to hold them for longer, idk about full body anims since its a fingerboarding game but the devs said those are still on the table.
You should be able to lock in to grinds though, even with fingerboarding
ohh u can lock in trust me my guy. games like realistic takes time to learn just like IRL. practice is key

I dont know that this will be my go to for skating. I really do like having the skater in Session. But even if I end up on not liking it, I will still buy this even if just to support him. And it does look like it will good for the occasional play anyways.
people might mod in a skater into this, idk how possible that is. but i've been playtesting for a little bit now and i really enjoy this game.
With no skater it looks like a mobile game, even though the graphics are nicer

the hardest physics game is toribash its not based on skating but you can still skate in it and it takes longer to learn how to skate in the game than in real life

Nope, this has no connection to Skater XL. The main dev used to make modded maps for SXL but that’s entirely separate.

I have been playing Session since early access, with over 300 hours on PC and more on Xbox, so I think I know what I'm talking about. Let's just enjoy the games we enjoy without putting others down, how about that?

Like I stated in the video it’s heavily inspired by fingerboarding, hence the shape and size of the board.
You are describing a 10 year old game (that still gets constant updates) and it’s called True Skate. It’s always been 100% physics base skate game right in your pocket.
Plus, you are swiping directly onto the board. So it feels like you are not typing skate tricks with a game pad.
Plus hundreds of mod Maps… a Replay editor has key frames and fish, eye cameras, and customization. Characters have clothing mod ability and customization. All in your pocket…
Is rad to see another game with physics at the core of development. Will be interesting to see where this goes
Tbh dude I completely forgot about True Skate as I was filming this, but yes it deserves recognition when talking about physics based skate games. I need to put more time into playing it myself!
Ive had the pleasure to be a playtester since the begining and its come such a long way. I still cant get enough of it, Best PHYSICS based skateboarding game ever i swear. Also great video man.
ALMOST a god game tho the neto of player is wack the board is a fingerboard grinds must lock they dont obvious ollies look un-natural there are millions of things that need to be done for this to be a game
I have been testing this game for long time, you can lock in grinds my man. Just takes practice like anything else, Ollies are fine as well. I hope you try it you just might be surprised! Prolly have close to 80hrs maybe more i can say everything is pretty much doable and its only early access as well..

the game is pretty alright, its still very early though. i've played the game for about 2 weeks with 20hrs its pretty fun lol.
You can just chose not to play it. Why just dismiss a game you haven’t even played yourself? If you don’t like it other people will, and the developers get to make a game they are passionate about. This kind of negativity is just not needed bro.
