Setting up Elgato Game Capture HD on Xbox One

Today I'm showing you how to set up and use the Elgato Game Capture HD with the Xbox One, step by step.
How to set up the Elgato Game Capture HD with Xbox One.
1. Plug 1st HDMI from Xbox One HDMI OUT to Elgato HDMI IN
2. Plug 2nd HDMI from Elgato HDMI OUT to TV HDMI
3. Plug included USB cable from Elgato into you're computer
4. Software Download (2021): www.elgato.com...
5. Turn on Xbox and start recording!

It says no signal for me, on Game Capture HD and on my TV on HDMI channel. Not too sure why this could be because everything is connected correctly. Perhaps a bust cable running from my Elgato to my TV? I had this problem with my PVR too and thought it could be because my PVR was broken, so I bought an Elgato, but same problem :/

@ArsenalRey you have to make sure that the usb is plugged directly into the computer and not a usb hub, this can cause some problems in my own experience. After your computer downloads the driver for the Elgato it should find it automatically

The 720p60 option seems pretty viable if you wanna record games which are running natively at 720p. It can always be upscaled up to 1080p60 afterwards in video editing software.

Guys I have a question for some reason don't u need three cabals of hdmi because two go into Xbox and tv to elgato and u would need one to plug into Xbox to tv to get on the channel to play Xbox one

If I'm correct man I think 1 goes into your xbox then that same one goes into elgato. Then the other hdmi goes into elgato and the TV that you are goin to be playing on then the next cable goes from the elgato to your computer so that your elgato is capturing everything off of your xbox and just running it to the computer.

+obeykripy25 as long as that laptop meets the minimum requirements to run the software (posted on their website), and has at least 1 usb 2.0 or higher, then yes it can run on any laptop

I've done the same thing I've always done when i used my 360. But of course that was when it was a lot easier with using the 3 RCA Cable instead on HDMI. Now that I use HDMI Cables, I get everything to show up onto my computer, but NOTHING shows up on my TV at all. Granted this was done back in 2014, and it's 2018, and these problems occur.

+Ravzis This means its not in the right quality, your PC or Mac or laptop elgato screen is not set up with the right quality. you need to change the quality to be the same as the tv. I hope this help, i dont know how to change the quality to match up with the tv. Mabey you can look it up, i hope this helped.
