anyone else ever feel like Carlock learned his rudiments, and then took them into every damned thing he did? I feel like I am watching, hearing and feeling the power of rudiments--especially paradiddles--as no one ever imagined they could be spelled the f+@k out?
Only trio I've heard Keith in is Oz Noy Trio, this blows that away, much cooler composition and hipper players, Good god, the other players must be blown away by what Keith's doing, it's freakin crazy...!!!
I emailed Jared repeatedly requesting KC a few years back and they finally got Keith on Drumeo. Check out his video with Drumeo. One of Keith’s best performances. Enjoy!
I want to set my drums up like him so bad but I don’t think it’s physically possible with the hardware I have right now…. I pretty much have flat braced stands and put my toms flat almost except my floor Tom I angle outwards a bit, but the cymbals just seem like perfect for hood technique . And god damn does this dude have good technique…. Anyways thanks for the video. Would love to take a lesson with Keith carlock
This is an amazing performance, thanks for posting! Could you re-record it with better audio-video synchronization? The video is just far enough ahead that it's a bit distracting. But wow, what incredible, high-level playing!
most of the people who listen to this music are jazz musicians, and most jazz musicians are men, so it is not unlikely that, in such a small crowd there would only be men
I mean, he's a stunning drummer! However, it sounds like one long, overbearing drum solo in every song. Someone please explain. I would really like to hear the cymbal-work as well.
These guys i cant get enough of

Those young people sitting there must have been stunned, if they could even understand what they were listening to.
My favorite favorite power trio ever.
my Idol

Carlock is just destroying!
And with such a loose bass drum head. Or, maybe that’s just how much he’s kicking the crap out of it.

Anyone knows his hihat model?
Nobody strokes those doubles like Keith. Nobody.
When you get tired of the gospel chops and want to see real musicians, just come here.

That metric modulation at 0:53 was TOO SLY
Looks like an audience of recovering gamers being reoriented to reality.
I love how shredding they are on this take, but I can't help but LOL at the end... Kinda painful, but in a good way. 😜
Sausage Fest.
Maybe that's why Carlock when on a diet soon after this and has been much thinner ever since.
Did they not invite any women? Aside from that, I’m speechless at the virtuosity!
