    Shoutout to you Rocky. I have a suggestion for what I think will will make you stand out and take even more of a lead as a Spanish tutor here on yt. Add a regular series or segment where you take it to the streets. Produce realistic conversations heard outside between people of the same and different nationalities. Let people see and hear conversations and accents in context, preferably out in the wild. Let the people to see and hear real and true conversation between Ricans, Dominicans, Mexicans, Panamanians, Colombians, etc. in different difficulty levels, followed by your breakdowns. This is really what's lacking on yt and what many people really want to see and study from what I'm hearing.
    I'm in NYC, if you need to recruit the native speakers of these various nations to help you out with that, just let me know. But hop on that before the next man does because there a big void out there when it comes to authentic/spontaneous conversational listening especially with different accents.

    Yes!! Let the people know!! 👏🏾👏🏾✨ Mimicking was the secret key that helped me speak fluently and develop rhythm and cadence. Just copycatting native speakers people and how they speak even when i didnt quite know exactly what they were saying trained my mouth to make the sounds and my ears to hear it

    I love your Spanish Chameleon Paradox. I don't think any of us are perfectly fluent because language and it's meaning are constanly changing. I do think we "acquire" Spanish (or any language) based on the community we live in. Because you spoke Spanish, the Italian language ( a cousin language) gave you that new linguistic lense. It is because you are a linguist. Your brain connects the words. I grew up in Texas, and our Spanish here is Tex Mex and Mexican Spanish. I went to college and had to have a third language- so I chose Portuguese. So, when I speak Spanish people for some reason assume I am either Cuban or Portuguese. I am a black Texan female who grew up in a home where Spanish was spoken. Anyway, one of my neighbors spoke Italian. I speak Spanish. We talked all the time and perfectly understood each other. She has since passed, and I miss her. I grew up to be a teacher to help young people acquire my beautiful language- Spanish. Great video!!!

    You explained this so perfectly that i literally cant think of a way to say it better. Exactly how you described, when a native mistakes you for a native as well, it feels so satisfying just knowing how far you've come, and that rush of dopamine knowing that you have achieved the dream. Although another thing i like to add is that after these moments i let my guard down and get arrogant and start slacking off on my studies 😢

    I finally have confidence in speaking after a native speaker at work said my spanish was really good! I was so happy, my friends before just said it was good but didn't explain how good it was...
    I took 4 years in high school, where they mostly have you retain words. Now, I have to learn how to collect my words faster in speech and how to retain all of it when I hear. Usually translating on Google what I think of saying helps. I am thinking of getting pimsleur!🎉

    What’s your best advice on How to avoid the speaking spanish when I have people constantly asking me if I speak Spanish or just talking to me in Spanish without asking first? I’m in the downloading phase and not ready to speak yet.

    I've been doing all this for two years and still feel so frustrated with my progress. How did you learn Italian so quickly?

    • @tjohnson4517
      @tjohnson4517 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Just keep going, you probably have progressed, just don't realize it. I felt the same way but a few of my Spanish speaking customers and workers at my job that my Spanish had improved tremendously, even though I didn't think so. Remember, this takes time. At least five to seven years to get to a high intermediate level, advanced is even longer
