And I also love the British accent. 😂 I always wanted to visit the north of great Britain. Never went to Scotland mostly the southeast. How would you describe your region?
I had the absolute pleasure of meeting the director of this short film in Australia last year and he told me that they are trying to raise the money to turn this into a full length feature film... It will be phenomenal if that happens...
This story is too beautiful for the World to miss seeing it. Please make this a feature length film. Real love like this story tells is everlasting and some of us are fortunate enough to find it.
I discovered my true love by living my life. I believe men are trying too hard “to find”, instead of living their best life. I’m not against dating, using apps, however, I want a man to compliment my life, not thinking I’m incomplete without one . ❤️🙏❤️
I need a full length film of these two. Those 8min where ones of the most emotionnal I've ever seen. Hitting hard and brimming with beauty. Definitely the best short film ever made. I wish we know what happened to the warrior one. I hope he came back home alive
This a beautiful story of love, the power of their emotions was well written, directed and the acting was so believable, a big well done to all involved 🌈👬
The music score is unbelievably outstanding. It makes the characters of the two men in love become so emotional and heart-warming. It brings tears of joy to viewers. According to the film director, Bradley told Bowsher he fell in love with another man in Scotland, and their letters became more friendly until they drifted apart and stopped writing to each other in 1945. Bradley kept his letters until his death in 2008. We need a lengthy story of the two men. It is understood that their love story is in the works to be a Hollywood movie.
That was a wonderful video!! Tears rolling down my 66yr old cheek but a very warm glow in my heart. I feel lucky and privileged to be part of those guys love, even briefly, Thanks
This made tears come into my eyes! I am so glad it is a true story. So sweet, so touching, so full of authentic love! It was a privilege to watch this little film.
I lost the love of my life who died suddenly in 2022. The loss is terrible, but love lingers on. Love never dies and my love for him will never die, even though he's no longer here for us to share the rest of our lives together. Watching this film made me weep with sadness at the loss.
I lost my mother a year and a half ago, and that pain lingers still. That loss actually brought me closer with my husband. I hope you find healing and peace, and that, with time, the memories of your lost love provide you with joy and comfort. They're never really gone... so long as we remember them.
Was it worth it? Excuse my blunt and borderline rude question. As someone who has never experienced love to my early 30s now (virgin still). I feel like I will never get to experience it in this life (kinda preparing myself to live alone forever at this point). On one hand I feel like, I'm being left out on a lot of things and the loneliness is terrible, but on the other... I also feels paradoxically good that I never get to fall for anyone. Why? I'm an introvert. Idk if i'll ever be comfortable with sharing both my life and physical space with anyone. I'm also a major romantic. Idk if I will survive having to experience the lost of the love of my life. unexpected events like that happens to everyone is it not? Idk if the juice is worth the squeeze and I'm terrified of it. That sounded like an emotional wall and maybe it is (?). Idk.
😥😥I feel your pain, it got me thinking of my own love life, she's alive but I refuse to be with her, I have the chance to cherish her while I still can but I'm still running. I don't deserve love.
OK....I'm crying my eyes out now. This beautiful story re-enforces the absolute love and passion I have for my husband. I wished that these beautiful, loving men could have had, what we have fraught for and now have. Our love is the purist love that could ever be had and can be expressed without judgement and predigest.
I tried not to cry. So touching. So amazing they survived all this time. Thank you for the film and putting light to the letters. I agree that it should be a feature.
This short film captures, so succinctly, what I feel and have felt in my heart of hearts, the essence of TRUE love for another man! Thank you to whomever created and posted this beautiful film!
I agree with you. It is as if someone read my (and your) heart and mind prior to making this short film. Since discovering this short film, I have watched it repeatedly as it gives me solace and hope for the man I love and care for just as much.
This short film is definitely deserving of an Oscar, the letters tell the story, but this film brings them to life for us to marvel at in this time we are living...where those who are open minded, and compassionate, and loving can see the beauty in their story, and feel comforted, and a community that is deserving of the same rights, joys, and freedoms as all the other communities of people. And regrettably, still requiring as it is for people of color, and many other groups to keep pushing for equality in all things in our society. The cinematography was gorgeous, the cuts so well done...and chose LGBTQ cast. It also doesn't hurt that Mr. Postlethwaite, and Mr. Clayton are so easy on the eyes, and talented actors as well. BRAVO to Mr. Vallentine, and all involved. Quite the masterpeice in 9 min! Would LOVE to see this fleshed out to a full feature film...and please try to get both Mr. Postlethwaite and Mr. Clayton to commit to the film version...that would be exquisite!!!

What an amazing short film that hit far too close to home for me. I served in the US Navy for 12 years in the 80s and early 90s, long before "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" was even a pipe dream. I met my first love, "Sam," in college (he was two years behind me) and when I graduated and was commissioned, I was sent off to duty stations far away from our college, so writing letters was our way of communicating in the pre-internet/email/text message days. When Sam was commissioned and sent to his own duty station, we continued to write each other. I have to admit, though, that I was always nervous about those letters accidentally falling into the wrong hands and exposing our relationship. Back then, being outed in the military would almost always result in a formal investigation followed by a discharge that, in some cases, would have a discharge classification of something less than honorable. Eventually, Sam's desire to live authentically became greater than his desire to have a career in the Navy, and he told his commanding officer that he was gay. He was discharged shortly afterwards. I admired Sam's courage, but his coming out to his command sent me deeper into the closet for fear of "guilt by association." I didn't want any evidence of our relationship should an investigation be done, so I burned all of Sam's letters, just as the character in the movie wanted to do (but stopped). My reaction seems excessive now, but at the time and under those circumstances, I felt as though I needed to do that. Sadly, physical separation and my fears ultimately caused the two of us to go our separate ways.
i remember when the guy who collected the letters came to my school a few years ago and mentioned this being in production … just remembered it recently and i’m glad i did because this is beautiful
The most romantic and moving thing I've seen since "Call Me By Your Name". Like one of the other posters, I came out in '74, a year out of high school, in upstate NY. I've had an easier time of it than a lot of my contemporaries - and many since then - but I remember what it was like to not be able to celebrate being in love. But I've known loving someone that intensely. He hasn't been in my life for many years; and I don't know if I'll have that again, but I'd give anything to have one more chance. I'd despaired of that possibility; this film has convinced me that, just maybe.......
THE ROMANCE OF TWO GUYS is certainly ONE OF MOST HANDSOME THINGS IN THE WORLD💫 Such a Beautiful Thing as this, can't be wrong. This is just ANOTHER MASTERPIECE of God for The GOOD OF LIFE....
Bravo to cast and crew - a job well done. It's all there; the anguish, the passion, the love. Many thanks to all for an outstanding job in bringing this to cinematic light for all to see............
Exquisitely written and filmed. This love transcends time, genders and all boundaries. Wish we live in a world that is fully enlightened and filled with such simple genuineness. Hope to see this as a full featured film some day. Perhaps a more enlightened time.
The young men you write of don't know about their forebears' trials. One thing is sure, the gay and bi kids in Florida won't learn a thing about gay history in that state's public schools.
This film is the personification of how deep and sincerely two men can love, yearn for and care for each other.
This needs to become a full film. In the right hands this could be a beautiful film and tell a wonderful love story.

Beautiful. Thank you for making this
Glad you like it!
Exquisitely written and filmed. This love transcends time, genders and all boundaries. Wish we live in a world that is fully enlightened and filled with such simple genuineness. Hope to see this as a full featured film some day. Perhaps a more enlightened time.

He fell in love with 2 other people (2!!!!????)and stopped writing....I looked up to see if he made it back, they never saw each other again.

What a beautiful story. Such a pity that this was not made into full film.
What the majority of our young men of today have forgotten about what those before them have and had to struggle and endure in their lives.
The young men you write of don't know about their forebears' trials. One thing is sure, the gay and bi kids in Florida won't learn a thing about gay history in that state's public schools.
Touched my heart ❤ so beautiful.
Not sure what? Made me tear up most This beautiful Film of love Or the comments ❤
Отлично снято, прекрасный английский. Замечательные актёры. И это тоже часть истории, ведь разлука мучительна для всех, кто влюблен. ❤❤❤
Thanks for watching!
Thank You for this. I wish this was the more enlightened time they yearned for but we still have far to go.
Gordon got his wish.
The world has finally gotten to see how much he loved Gilbert and how much Gilbert loved Gordon
I am in literal tears!
