During takeoff, hydraulic power is relieved from the flaperon actuator to avoid stress/damage from the takeoff thrust - that's why you see it droop then come back to life
As an enthusiast, I would have been both thankful and very curious about why they would have rejected. I would almost want them to come by my seat so I could be in the know :P
From the description, I did some investigation. Apparently it seems there are quite the number of flights that experience nose steering issues sometimes. Could be a short circuiting of wire problem.
"We experienced two rejected takeoffs due to an issue with steering, which required us to return to the gate. Mechanics were able to fix the issue within the hour" My brother would have had a fucking meltdown if they tried to use the same plane 😭, i wouldve gladly continued though lol
Would love to know what the problem was. I wonder if they were getting a configuration warning after application of takeoff thrust due to the tiller not releasing. Both aborts happened shortly after thrust application. Maybe someone who knows more about the 772 has a better idea.
Awesome capture! May I feature these RTOs in one of my next episodes? Of course with a link back to your original video. All the best to you!
Yes definitely!
@ Cool, thanks!
Dude I was on this flight 😂. It’s crazy cuz I didn’t even know a fellow avgeek was onboard
We gotta start wearing t shirts or a patch of some sort!!
Why would you know that
Ooooooo it's soooooo crazy

Can skip ahead to ~ 16:00 for the first roll.
And 19:45 is the second attempt.
25:00 is the final takeoff
It’s all in the description
Hello
hello
Had my first rejected take off on the 26th at ORD. united crj-550. Full power for about 2 seconds and then immediately off the power for a taxi back
Wow rejected 2x! Nicely shot too, thanks for sharing!
Alawys very interesting to see the aileron down that far on full power at 16:23.
Almost looked like crosswind correction but idk
Looks like pilot is checking the flaps.

@@novalfuzzy Very interesting, can you explain any further why takeoff thrust could damage or stress that specific component?
Those graphics are insane!
Lol 😂
Wdym graphics?
Loved seeing the 757 landing at 16:02.
You meanm the 747?

Why was the plane moving in and out a bit at the apron?

The description says it was a nose gear steering issue that was fixed at the gate and then they were on their way.
Why didn’t they start engine #2
Hello
To save on fuel
Great Video!
What’s the small flap that drops down and seems to move in relation to thrust at times?
It’s apart of the ailerons
It moves according to the thrust to protect him.
It's called an inboard aileron
@@billehr694
Does it move in relation to thrust setting or was that coincidental?
@@Fleetwoodjohn it provides roll control at higher speeds when outboard ailerons become less efficient
The Flight Aware link is wrong.
most of this video is wrong
FINALLY TAKES OFF @ 25:38 🤦🥱😵💫😴
Nothing special, these RTO's were initiated early in the roll and you could barely tell they are RTO's
2 rejected takeoff?
Where the Fuck is the rejected takeoff? TH-cam please bring back the public view of dislike counter again.
@@dirtmerchantlc324the dislike counter should be for you
@@dirtmerchantlc324 There are actually 2 of them, 16:24 & 19:59, how about less complaining and more using our brains!
