My original intention for this humidifier was to use it for plants that require high moisture levels. After using it in my room, th-cam.com/users/postUgkxtD9aJ2m6GU-X1IChQxjn9l31K1A7Kpwj however, I think that's where it is going to stay in the fall and winter season at least. The increased humidity in my room made the room warmer and more comfortable. I had first ran the humidifier for 4 hours with the timer setting for it. After the first hour, I checked my room and can feel the difference. When the full 4 hours was up, I checked again and noticed that the humidifier was shut off as it is suppose to. The moisture level never seem to get passed 56/57%. I then let it run until all the water is used up, which it wasn't all used up. There are still some left in the base that you are not suppose to add water to. I filled up the water tank all the way again, being careful when removing it from the base. Some left over water may spill out. After putting it back on and setting the unit to auto, I let it operate. It didn't stop running, rather I don't know if it did at any point since I didn't check it regularly, for 24 hours after which the water in the tank ran out. The moisture reading never passed 56/57%, which may be a good thing for me. Being situated right next to my bed, the noise was not very noticeable with the occasional water gurgle from time to time as the unit ran.
I’m buying one of these tomorrow. I have horrible allergies and wake up with nasal congestion all the time and get interrupted sleep. I hope this works
Just bought this today for 55 at Wal-Mart. Im using one of the vicks inserts. It's for my 3 year old daughter who has a dry cough at night. So far so good!
@Mary_Lee2395 it's a cool mist humidifier....you'd need to purchase a warm mist humidifier if you want it warm. I think having one of each is nice....Warm for winter and then a cool mist for summer.
I came from Philippines with 100% moved in Arizona with 13% Humid, the difference is HUGE!!!! I didn't realize that my nose is bleeding from the dryness and I always get sick which I don't really get too often back in Ph. . It's been a year and I just thought of buying humidifier. ugh! Well, it's never too late
I like how you emphasized on being cautious and taking care of your humidifier. 🤗For those who live in constant dry heat and are planning on getting a humidifier, starting off with low levels of humidity and slowly increasing can help regulate the levels in your body so it gets use to the humidity. I never owned a humidifier, but my brother had one as a child because he had constant nosebleeds, and it did contribute to helping them stop.
Great video. For anyone who is thinking about purchasing this, it's $39.99 at Walmart as of 8/2021. Tip: there's a coupon inside for your "next purchase". Do what I did- open the lid of the box and grab that coupon to use right then and there! I did it at self checkout in front of an employee and no one said anything. Saved just $1.50 , but hey it's something. Much love to everyone and good vibes 😊
These really make a big difference! Keeping mine dry between uses is a huge problem for me. I just can't seem to remember to empty it. The green light didn't bother me though.
That's so great to hear. I have horrible allergies to the point you'd swear I had the flu but I just have really bad allergy flare ups and I've been told to get one of these to help. Get better soon. Bless yo🙏🏾
I've been using a humidifier for two weeks and I've been sleeping so much better. I use to wake up every night really thirsty and now I sleep through the whole night this is amazing.
I have a misting humidifier of a different brand. While the humidity improved, I also found that it was adding significant amounts of particulate matter to my indoor air to hazardous levels according to my air quality meter. That was likely due to the tap water I was using, but to use distilled water would be very very expensive. An evaporative humidifier that uses heat doesn't add particulate matter to the air but doesn't humidify quite as evenly as the mister.
Thank you for this review. It is sooooo dry in my house this time of year. Static electricity everywhere - I shock my kitties every time I kiss them. I really need this.
Wow, great informational video. However, you've been getting ripped off of you've paid $80 for one of these. They have been around for a while now, (years) and I have never paid more than $40 for one. They stay on the shelves at Walmart for that price. It's worked great for us and we just use filtered, tap water. I clean it weekly though which can be a pain and easily forgotten. Sunday evening chore that is totally worth it for the sleep you can get. Especially if you have gas heat in the winter with no humidifier on the unit. I recommend this lil turd for sure. The wife and I like it a lot. We've bought 2 so far.
Not everyone shops at Walmart. Some drugs stores sells them for at least 62 bucks...... I don't know about $80. Maybe her price includes the vicks solution.
I bought this months ago n now using it. I came here to see how you put in the vapor pads. The manual is not clear, n I wish u showed it again, just got a glimpse in the beginning
I have a mini dehumidifier not humidifier in my room. My room gets pretty humid in the summer time but its about 45% humidity in the winter time so i don’t really need a humidifier. But if i were to get one i would probably go with something a little more budget friendly even though the Vicks sounds awesome. Great review, very informative👍
Somewhat helpful. I would like it more if she did more reviews on humidifiers. Turning on the humidifier is good too. I would like to hear how the machine runs during the review. Some humidifiers are too loud or to it’s too much hassle to clean.
Will this unit work for my my small office located at the subbasement. This is where I spend most of time. My office is always dry during these cold days?
I have this exact! I just wanna know how many times a week should I clean it ? Like once a week or twice? I also am using distilled water does that make a difference in how many times do you need to clean it?
Hi, thank you for the review, my mom has sinus and i hope this works for her. Favor, can you please explain the process of cleaning more detailed please. I got confused with the cleaning, it seems that when you add the vinager is unplugged and when you add the clorox you plug it? And also what kind of water you use for each process. Sorry the explanation was a little bit fast for me and i want to make sure when i get it for my mom, i will do the proper cleaning. Thank you. I really appreciate that you are sharing this information with us.
Great video. Just a quick question I have this model. Used over 2 nights When I went to refill and lifted top off, the bottom base had water in it. Is this normal or is this a fault with the product. Thanks
Do you use the vicks vapopad? If so are they safe for 2 months old and how often do you use them? I’m thinking of buying it today but wanted to make sure they are okay to use for my 2 month old baby
Jenifer Chamale i would recommend speaking with your pediatrician but i personally wouldn’t unless I received a medical approval or recommendation before doing so.
I have a cool mist humidifier but I just have the basic Honeywell one without the pad things, I want this one cause it can be better because of the vicks pads that help with sinus issues.
I am sorry but again the air coming out is cold? Or hot? Sorry if it is a silly question but asking is best. I have life brand cool mist hunidifier, it feels cold when i put my hand close to it. !But i can not see any air coming out. Not sure if it works fine. Any help?
If you're looking to buy this DON'T we got one and found it next to unless. The biggest problem we found is that you, have to run it on distilled water. If you use regular tap water it puts a fine dust out that goes over everything. In the end we got an evaporation type humidifier that not only is way more effective it produces zero dust and works just fine on regular tap water.
For some reason I bought mines a few days ago and plugged it last night but for some reason No mist is coming out don’t know if this is Normal plz help.

Thank You for Posting this Video I couldnt Figure out where to put the Water in at. Why is there Water in the Base?
I have some generic walmart brand humidifier that doesn't have a vicks pad slot or anything like that. Can I just put some vapo rub in the little directional nob on the top so that when the mist comes out it'll hit the capo rub? Especially now since we are going into winter I often wake up with a very congested nose and I do not want to buy a whole new unit...
All I am looking for in humidifioer reviews is how noisy it is when it's running. The only time you show the machine actually turned on there is no audio. :)

Bought mines from Walmart to cause I needed one asap. Is yours only blowing cool mist only? Was hoping it blows warm mist but it isn’t smh
did it help to overcome the dry cough of your child at night?
@Mary_Lee2395 it's a cool mist humidifier....you'd need to purchase a warm mist humidifier if you want it warm. I think having one of each is nice....Warm for winter and then a cool mist for summer.

Thanks for the video. Just picked this up at Walmart for about fifty dollars. We shall see how it goes. I really like the cleaning ideas.
Bought one in Amazon because of YOU.
If I use filtered water from my fridge will I be able to skip the cleaning process?
I got it for $40 on amazon
Just switched my first humidifier on for the first time
Should I buy a filter free or filtered vicks humidifier?
Thank you for uploading a thorough review, including the maintenance.

I’m confuse why mine isn’t blowing warm air/mist. It’s only blowing cold mist which isn’t really helping me. Any solutions?
No I don't have one but considering it especially during the winter months
I have this exact! I just wanna know how many times a week should I clean it ? Like once a week or twice? I also am using distilled water does that make a difference in how many times do you need to clean it?
Why is there Water in the Base After Use is that Normal or Not Normal? Thanks
Does letting the mist from humidifier fly on to over face over night bad?
Can you use without vicks pads?...
Do you use essential oils with this humidifier?
Does vaposteam go in this as well?
can i use it for nebuliser? how? and how ?
But how do you refill the tank without spilling water all over the place? My wife and I thought ours was great until we needed to fill it up again.
Where you buy this ? Overseas? These are 40 at target and Walmart

Just a quick question
I have this model.
Used over 2 nights
When I went to refill and lifted top off, the bottom base had water in it.
Is this normal or is this a fault with the product.

When cleaning/disinfecting, you don't run the machine to get the solution throughout it entirely?
Could you put essential oil here?
What is the difference between this and the Vicks cool relief humidifier?
My base has water in it. Is that normal?
I don’t think i need this as i live in humid Ass Texas buuuuut i love learning stuff form y’all. I’d totally recommend this to my friend in Arizona

So is the cool mist good for the summer time while the ac is on??? And the warm mist good for the winter while the heat is on???
Wow! Thank you so much. This is by far the best info video I've ever seen.
I think u forgot to mention the little black air filter on the side and how to clean it and if there are parts available.
Can it cool down a medium sized room in summer?
Can I use tap for water?
