@@WeRideSouthwicked - not all heroes wear capes!! Can the DXF file be loaded straight into a CNC cutting machine/router? I don't know how that stuff works (above my paygrade)
Ben, I have not confirmed this particular plate with a Kickr Core; however, I am working on a re-design with a local core owner to release. I did have to expand the rear of the plate to accommodate the core, but I am not sure it's 100% necessary.
Andrew, amazing work, really good. My bike is also a 58, it is a tight fit but it leaves around 2cm top and bottom, so it is good and looks as if it was made for it. My difficulty has nothing to do with your design, wich is top. I have a Elite Suito and the bracing cuts do not coincide. Printed on paper and doesn look doable with the existing cutouts. Have no idea how do work the dxf :-D ... Do you think you have a design compatible with the suito? Tanks man!!!!
Great design and good job! Since I want to outsource the CNC milling process for preparing both plates, I was asked to deliver STL, STEP or similar files. Could You kindly share your SW 3D project source file to prepare adequate files or to make some slight dimension changes? Thanks in advance! Regards!
Thank you! However, I don't provide my source files. You can import the DXF into SW and convert the lines if you'd like to make your own alterations. Sorry for the inconvenience.
@@maxvega4217 I would think if Andrew only exports a DXF of the model geometry than there won't be any dimensions. If he lays out a 2D drawing with dimensions and then exports that then there will be dimensions. I'v never used Fusion 360, but this is how other programs work. I have never used FreeCAD, but you could import the 3D DXF file into Free CAD and then annotate to get whatever dimensions you need.
Hey Andrew thanks for doing the hard work. I'm not a CAD trained or experienced. Is there a drawing with measurements illustrated? I'm simple skills and will cut this out with a jig saw. Thank you, Bill
Thanks Bill, at the time I don't have any file with illustrated measurements and have been pretty tight on time. There may be someone in the Rocker Plates facebook group that could assist with this.
Robert, I believe so. Here is a link to the rocker plate group on facebook where a guy did just that. facebook.com/groups/415329188897706/permalink/1091198961310722
Perfect! Thanks for your help!
Any ideas on alternatives to the 20mm 55’ machine rod? They seem to be unavailable everywhere I can find.
You can always go over sized. Any other alternatives would require quite a bit of rework
thanks for sharing the design Andrew - I'm assuming that a Kickr Bike will work fine with your design?
Yes sir

@unrealshots typically yes, but the cnc operator will need to define the tooling and settings per cut.
Do you have the design note in cm?
Will these holes work for the kickr core as well as the kickr ?

Not sure about the Suito, but the current design will definitely fit an XR Direto with minor overhang.

@@WeRideSouth Sure. No problem. Thanks for your reply and for the hint ;-) Best regards!
Does the center line get machined? Setting up a CNC file now and that’s my only lingering question.
And if so, to what depth?
Yes. My guy just used a v bit on the cnc for a few millimeters. Maybe 2 or 3.
So cool of you to share your design!!
How much should it cost to get cnc at a local shop or service provider?
Thanks! It can vary wildly depending on if you supply the wood, what type of wood, etc. But anywhere from 50-200$
Any advice on how to see the dimensions? I can open the CAD file in adobe illustrator, but cant see the dimensions/specs anywhere. Thx
You would need a DXF file viewer of some sort, a CAD program.
@@WeRideSouth thx. I tried autodesh CAD viewer but didn't see measurements. Must be user error.

Did you end up getting this drawing with measurements mapped out?
Hi Bill, did you come up with a template?

G'day @@TheTurboEnterprise do you have available a metric version of this file as will be doing this manually (non CNC).
Hi, not sure to understand where I can get the dxf file. Would you help me with that?
There is a link to a Google doc in the description of this video. That file has the dxf file links.
Hi, where can i download DXF?, thanks a lot.
There is a link in the description to a google sheet. Inside that sheet is a column that says "DXF File"
Hi Andrew, Is it possible to share your solidworks file ? I 'm french and i would like to check some dimensions (in metric) thank's for your support
Sorry, I'm not going to share the solidworks file, but I can confirm some measurements for you if you tell me which ones you're looking for.

Hey you shared the dxf file for which thanks so much, but is it possible to get the cad file?
Hi, balls finally turned up from China. Can you add the dimensions and position for the ball channel. How where do I send pictures ? Thanks
Metric or Imperial?

If printed the dwf file onto a 60x60 paper, would it be to scale enough to as a stencil?

What is the width of the top plate?
At it's widest point it's about about 802.2mm or 31"
Anyone tried to modify this for the neo 2/2t?
Have you checked the Rocker Plate group on Facebook? There are all types of designs for all sorts of trainers
