  • A week of riding bikes in one of my favourite cities in the world. Tokyo. Stopped at all the Bluelug shops, Wood VIllage Cycles, Hasegawa Bicycle Sales, Ichigawa Bike shop and JD cycle tech. All the iced coffees and a few clean bowl clubs.
    Unfortunately, audio quality seems to have deteriorated during upload. Sorry about that.

    The bronzy green Rivendell at 1:15 is the one Blue Lug built for me! I went to pick up a few days after you went and they said you had been. They even showed me the snacks you brought for them haha! I discovered Rivendell and Blue Lug purely on your recommendations and so I want to say thank you. I ride it every day and its an absolute beaut.

    The contrast in cleanliness between Tokyo and London is remarkable. I was there years ago for a few days and noticed it back then too. Yes, some of it can be chaotic but overall, considering how densley populated it is, it’s insanely clean and tidy. We should take some notes from the Japanese culture 👌🏼

    This is my new obsession. So calm, so peaceful. Keep these gems coming! If I can ask, what do you usually shoot your videos on?

    If I lived in Tokyo, a bike would be a must have. I'm getting claustrophobia just thinking of driving a car on those streets.

    I have a trip coming up to Japan in November. How did your book your Rivendell rentals at Blue Lug? How far in advance and how much?
    I'm thinking about a Riv and this looks like an amazing opportunity to try one 😁

    Was that a Widefoot bottle cage you got with the seat post? I got one and love it! It's awesome to be able to carry a 46oz/1400ml Nalgene bottle!!

    On another video of yours that I’ve watched you mention that you used to teach in the UK. Out of interest, are you still a teacher now you are in Korea? If not, what do you do now?

    would be curious about the price on Blue Lug stuff in Japan,,,, since often the prices for Nitto stuff on the Blue Lug online shop for folks in the US is a pretty good deal, until you add shipping haha. curious how the prices are in the shop for non-imported products (so not a Riv haha). thanks :)

    • @probablyriding
      @probablyriding  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Similar to the online shop without shipping of course, maybe a little less.

      When you click on the bluelug web, choose domestic. Use google translate or just straight type what you're looking for in the search bar. That way you'll get the prices in Yen. I'd say its better deal on the physical store most of the time, because of cheaper Yen as of now. If you have friends in Japan you can also ship to their adress like that.
