DAMN JOHN!!! Just about wet myself when I saw the silver ingot! WHAT A BEAUTY!!!! Just incredible! Congrats on all the wonderful treasures!!!! OMG! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
@@thescottishdetectorist... four? I've seen two on the videos, I recall you saying they were suspected as being Roman and briefly explained about them. Fantastic relics, absolutely fascinating. Thanks Suellen. I’m glad you are enjoying!! Until the ground thaws I suppose it gives me something to do and you something to watch! Best wishes and stay warm 🥶
Loving the end of year recap. I do have an idea for an episode. Maybe one episode you can show us your favorite finds and maybe do just a section on what you would love most to find. Even you could find a picture online to show us what it looks like or maybe describe it. Maybe have some of the other guys on (without showing their faces) for them to show off some of their favorite finds. You could even do a video in podcast format. Just some thoughts that came to my mind I thought I would share. Merry Christmas!
hello, Thank you so much for all these entertaining and informative videos. I am passionate about detection and numismatics, I learned a lot about English and Scottish coins thanks to your always very complete explanations. many thanks for that. if I can make a suggestion it would be nice to include an image of the coins in good condition following those you get out of the ground in order to be able to get a real idea of these coins. I wish you an excellent end of the year and a good Christmas. greetings from Switzerland.
Hello John... I absolutely love your shows. I'm a history lover and I want so badly to start metal detecting. I live in the western United States. No hope of finding Roman coins here.. lol. I would love to know what metal detector should start with? There are so many on the market that it is confusing. Keep doing what your doing... I love it.
Hi Poppy. Do some tea search based on the type of detecting you want to do and the ground. Garrett, xp, minelab and Nokta seem to be the most popular. I think you’ve really got to spend £500 plus $600USD to get a decent machine. Get something you can use out the box and also learn and improve with over time or even buy bigger coils and don’t dismiss second hand!! EBay and such like. Look for local clubs and see what machines they use
Looking forward to your special delivery 📦 📫from your own Santa Cleggy🎅🏻 I know your silver ingots are larger, but do you think it’s part of a Roman gaming set/pieces. I saw some in an older article from Smithsonian magazine made of bone from Norway with similar circular shapes. Take care 😊

The fibula reminds me of our ancestors walking around with cloth wrapped around us. We just take clothes for granted.
Brilliant seeing your top finds again, John. Really loved the silver ingot! Forget, was it Roman? Cheers m8, John.
Hi John. Yes apparently it’s Roman, but still don’t know 100%
Only just subscribed yesterday and really liking your commentary about the coins. Great things are coming.
Many thanks. Welcome aboard!! We’ve had a great 2022 so fingers crossed 🤞

Haha…. Postal strikes here means it’s delayed…. Maybe something after the new year
On your last coin XL would equal 40 so it could be Forty Pence.
