- Historian and Hoover Institution senior fellow Niall Ferguson argued that former President Donald Trump is not only a strong candidate for reelection in 2024, but the most likely person to win and take back the White House.
"A second Trump act is not just possible. It’s fast becoming my base case," Ferguson wrote in an op-ed for The Spectator.
Ferguson explained that even a sustained "campaign of lawfare" against the former president by his political enemies is not enough to stop him from coming back into the White House. In fact, "the prospect of him performing the perp walk attracts media coverage, and media coverage is the free publicity on which Trump has always thrived," he said.

He's a career criminal. Found guilty of fraud at least 4 times, including a fraudulent charity that was supposed to help children with cancer. So not only was he ripping off donors who thought they were doing something great to help children fighting a potentially fatal disease, he was also embezzling money that was supposed to help those children who were fighting a terminal illness. He embezzled the funds so he could buy himself a Tim Tebow football, and a giant portrait of himself. He's currently under indicted in the State of New York, with many, many more indictments on the way, and now he is a convicted sexual predator and abuser. He cheated on his wife so that he could bonk a porn star while his wife was giving birth to their child, then he broke campaign finance laws by paying off the porn star to keep her quiet, a crime that Trump ordered for which one person has already done prison time. Not only is Trump a sexual predator but he has a creepy incestuous fetish and pedophilic tendencies -- all one has to do is research the many creepy, lecherous things that he said about Ivanka when she was under age, as well as the many creepy, lecherous photos that he took with her. Not only is he a lifelong criminal, a sexual predator, and a lecherous incestuous ccreep, he also cheated his a$$ off in the last election at every level to illegally retain power and when those attempts to cheat failed he resorted to violence that caused loss of life, permanent disfigurement and injury, and almost $3 million in damages to our American Capitol. And to top everything off the man accomplished NOTHING in 4 years. He was so consumed with trying to keep himself in power that he couldn't come up with a healthcare plan, couldn't come up with an infrastructure plan, and hell, he couldn't even build his beautiful wall.
