Looking at getting into this. Would you endorse bulk lots off ebay or am I gonna get a bunch of stuff I can't move? Was considering that or trying the cheap bin at card shops
Hi Andrew, there are pros and cons to buying bulk lots, you can lower your cost basis per card by buying in bulk, but then you run into the risk of having cards that really don't move or will take quite some time to move. I'll buy bulk at times if it has a few gems that I can sell to make up the cost of the lot and then maybe try and sell the rest in bulk. I think if you know what the cards can sell for individually then you can do well with bulk lots. I do mix of both, buying lots off eBay and buying from the cheap bins at card shops and card shows. I love going through bins and finding cards the most, but both have some benefits.
It could definitely end up taking a lot of work... time for sure as I wait to see if my cards will sell. lol. Hope we have something good to show after all of this is done!
Thanks Robbie! I only do buy it now for right now. I haven't done auction in a long time. I'm usually patient when it comes to selling the low end cards. However, I do lower prices for stale inventory from time to time.
