Like how you gave some old 17th century history in the beginning of the video. Thanks for the tour around Clarksville. Nice area Lots of nice trees and most of the houses are maintained .
I’ve been subbed to you for a while and it’s cool to see you do vids on this area. I live in Jeffersonville and it’s kind of wild to see you driving in familiar territory. This area could be a little better, but it could be a lot worse.
Thanks for sharing your videos and thoughts. You must have either a fuel efficient vehicle or a sizeable budget for gas. Your adventurous wunderlust is greatly appreciated. Your research efforts is amazing that you share of places you visit !
Hopefully the plan to form a "downtown" will bring some commerce to the city. Appears to be a nice town. Anyone for a mountain dew run?!😂Another concise video Chris!👍
I work with the company that runs Water Tower Square and Bolt and Tie, the apartment / business complex on the left on the new Main St (Formerly Woerner Ave). I have worked for them for serveral years but didn't know the history as to why they were trying to build a downtown.
Went to Clarksville in June 2021. Pretty nice overall. It seemed like a busy place. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, lots of shopping choices, many hotels. Stopped by the mall. It was ok, but you could tell it was kind of dying. Tip: Do not eat at that Golden Corral. It was awful!
Colgate clock at one time was the 3rd largest clock in the world. We have the falls of the ohio state park and fossil beds. The Greenway hiking and biking trails. Bass pro is a bonus.
Interesting to see what towns look like in other states. More or less it looks the same as most Midwestern towns. I do enjoy the roads and the business
I see what you mean about Clarksville being a bedroom town of Louisville. That RV place you passed on Marriott Dr (Tom Stinnett's Campers Inn) advertises itself as being in Louisville, in spite of it clearing being in an entirely different state. Even at KY prices, it shows lower rent being chased where ever it can be found.
Yeah no downtown is a downer but community has pretty areas as well. Have seen four of your videos of Indiana side of Kentuckyiana and am ready for the day trip. I get it thanks!
If I may ask-- when the devil narrator takes over the video to call you out on something, and the screen gets red and hazy, why does the time clock in the lower corner jump to a different time?
There's tons of sidewalks and even has the Greenway walking and biking trails that go everywhere. They go along the river and connect alot of the parks using the old railroad tracks that were converted into walking trails. The main Greenway trail takes you through a wildlife management area and across silver creek to new Albany. They're also in the process of putting in a kayaking area along silver creek.

Dude. Your voice is on point and your sense of humor is delivered perfectly. 👍👍
Fun fact: before the Colgate plant was the Colgate plant it was a prison.
I just moved to downtown Jeff from Louisville last year and wondered where Clarksville’s downtown was. I love it over here.
Welcome!!
@@misses-xtwice Thanks!

Great vid... 23min. perfect ....thanks
We have one of those Colgate clocks up here in Jersey City, NJ
Colgate Palmolive Company was a penitentiary prior to being a soap manufacturing co.
Is this the Clarksville of the Monkees song fame, as in "Take The Last Train To Clarksville"?
Nope, that's Clarksville, Tennessee
Thanks for the video

thanks from Jeffersonville
That community perhaps would be "walkable" if sidewalks existed there.
Haha there's lots of southern Indiana towns that could use some minor upgrades like that.

Doesn't look like it's too awful there, just kind of plain and quiet. Crime stats not good, though.
Generica. for good and bad.😂
ive lived in clarksville for 12 years and let me say, i have absolutely 0 clue how you didnt get arrested or the cops called on you
Go watch my Jeffersonville video 😂😂
NOT THE MOUNTAIN DEW 🤣🤣🤣 i dont think people get it when i say it 🤭😂
That's all Clarksville consist of really is Lewis and Clark Pkwy and veterans, that's literally it 😂😂😂😂😂
To be fair. I live jere and most of the people aren't locals either. Lots of tourist and travelers through here
Ola bella ciudad desde Honduras❤
Lewis & Clark has been dead for years. Veterans Pkwy is where everything is.
The economy bad as it is downtown is going to be along ways away. Prices have tripled on construction jobs .
You’re probably right.
Hay hispanos que viven aquí? Que tal la vida ,yo busco algo tranquilo
Is this where the Monkees were going on the last train?
Don't forget to take "The Last Train To Clarksville" Sorry........
'wondered that too 🐵 THAT Clarksville was a debarkation point for young soldiers being sent to Vietnam
