    I had a psychedelic experience a couple years ago when i was 19 where it's like I just understood the universe was holographic, or a data stream, and therefore everything is connected, and that you either can live in fear or through love. It was profound to say the least.

    • @NoahHornberger
      @NoahHornberger 6 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      many people have that experience but ignore it in favor of the 'common knowledge'. Its important to remember all the profound things we were shown and then to develop the clarity to live them out in love

    It doesn't matter if you are a brain surgeon or a homeless person. No one role is better than another. Forgiveness, kindness and compassion can be at the heart of any life. This is your mission if you choose to accept it.

      What about one who causes great harm to other beings compared to one who does not and instead helps others? I do not think one can logically say the second person is not better than the first one and that his or her role is not better. I understand that it is inevitable that all of these different roles, whether appealing or unappealing, will exist. I would say it is clear in certain cases which ones are better though.

    Love this video! I have listened to all Tom's videos over the last 7 years but I think this one is so simple that hopefully everyone can follow the logic. I realise that the physics has to be taught and understood but its not for everyone.... this message is a short and concise narrative explain the nature of reality. Tom never gives up on us... he just goes on teaching and trying to get his message out there.... and today we all need to know the truth of our being. Thanks Tom for all your hard work.... I keep spreading the word in a delicate way to those who are open to it.

    I personally think this is the most important video Dr. Campbell has ever done. I acknowledge that no one works harder than Dr. Campbell in trying to wake up, and also on some small level, to soothe humanity. Consequently, I have watched this video a half a dozen times. And, I still am unable to address this question: Yes, it appears inarguable we are all in "school". But, the school appears to be also full of bullies, monsters, narcissists, and destructive sociopaths. How are we to exude love, patience, and understanding amidst others with such awful, hurtful agendas?

  • @andreykapitanov4502

    We live as conscious individuals in this world and develop. This is explained very clearly and comprehensibly. Thank you for that!
    My question is this: If a concrete conscious individual is always evolving - that is, constantly reducing its entropy - , where does this evolution ultimately lead? Will each individual incarnate again and again in this virtual world forever or will there be a kind of nirvana or will the particularly highly developed conscious individuals enter a more highly developed virtual reality and continue to develop there?

    He talks a lot about how this reality serves a purpose to consciousness and potentially other things external to this reality, but the question remains: why should we care about that external system? Why is the evolution of consciousness and the lowering of entropy useful, and, more importantly, why does consciousness even need to exist? Could consciousness decide to stop being consciously aware of anything? Or could it decide to destroy the computer computing the virtual reality, just like an angry gamer could destroy the World of Warcraft servers?

    The answer has been yes for many years now Tom, thanks again :) patience is still my one demon to conquer, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel for humanity but it frustrates me a little still. I can see an incredible new world 5 maybe 10 years away as this new "industrial revolution" of the internet unfolds.. but it is out of reach to others which is very sad, many think the sky is falling, some are trying to solve symptoms not problems.. we are still so inefficient as a system but as you say.. its a slow process and we really are working our way through some tough times, vibes of collaboration and cooperation, compromise and doing good are carrying us through.. its just so incredibly slow with the complexity of anything national let alone global.. I keep reminding myself "everyones doing the best they can with what they have" as you so eloquently put it, who they are and their situation is always so different to mine, I have been incredibly lucky this time around. The hardest challenge other than patience is trying to not get angry at my "weird" parents lately.. so much old thinking and customs.. even my older brother is actually from the boomer generation so it is very strange, I'm the only digital native.. I'm the weird one 😅🤣

Pretty sure the youngest memories I remember are of PONG or something like that.. and racecars that were 1x2 monochrome pixels at 12fps or something 😅🤣😂 I remember the family friends where I played them.. but clarity of any details is so scarce. I always wished I could play games for a job.. now I watch these kids today making millions and being like rock stars, playing video games ?! and can only laugh.. maybe next time !

      Tom advocates "openminded skepticism" also with his own model of reality. "Don't believe what I say, make your own model" are words that often come out of his mouth during interviews.
      In my own case, Tom's model comes closer than anything else to describe the reasons for my own (paranormal) experiences. Plus, it ties together all of the research I did when I was looking for answers to my experiences.

    It’s not quite like a kid playing a game and you’re the avatar. It is consciousness, which is YOU, playing yourself. From all different aspects and perspectives. Understanding yourself through every decision, non decision, experience etc you so desire. To think of different people and higher beings as being separate from you, is illusory. It is aspects of you in all levels and lifetimes. You are The Creator. Some may ask, why would I (You, The Creator allow suffering and cruelty in the world?). To know love, you must know fear. To know light, you just know darkness. To appreciate one is to need the contrast of the other. Otherwise there would be no way to truly know the path to expansion. You are The One The All. There is no ‘good or bad’.. there is only light/ unity or darkness/separation. Know Thyself. Be still and listen. The player of the game is the Great All which is YOU. ❤️🙏

    So, basically it doesn't matter what we do in life, (as far as careers go for example). At the end, we all will be judged by if we were more service to self, or service to others...

    Everyone must have a philososphy of their own, through self-thought and rationalize own conclusions from this life. Completely rid of any pre conception of any matter without any ego much like he was saying. To find truth, actual truth...so I say do not in any way believe anything or anybody as they themseleves have an agenda. People must really seek these things within themselves and I'm not completetly disregarding this man's insight. Take what you want from it but becareful before you blindly start taking his word.

    I forgot what I was going to say. But, i think it was about that zeros and ones are only symbols. Representations. It could be other symbol. Well. Now i want to know, what is the best representation of a digital or virtual reality? A trinary code or the classical binary code or which? Maybe a one magical or artistic? But must to be opperative. Maybe the best is the classical one. Zeros and ones.

    Before there was matter, there was consciousness. Matter sprang out of consciousness. Consciousness has always been and will always be. Matter is impermanent, always changing, caught in an endless cycle of creation and destruction (a cosmic dance). The one true constant is consciousness.
    Matter is the illusion.
    Consciousness is the reality.

    Read the books, but can't get past the part about when you die your most recent life fades away, then you move on. Where then is the love? As a scientist Tom makes it all to sterile, to computerized. He doesn't talk about the entities he has met, because without proof he can't believe them. Yet when I die I'm supposed to believe all I ever knew and all I ever loved was just a lesson? My loved ones I may meet are just a data base? I pray not!

      gregorion56 - Happy New Year, gregorion!
      You've hit on a point that is tough for many to get past: What do you mean?!??! My dear, departed Mom is now just a database?!??! I Love Her!!!
      Let's look at it in a different way. In Campbell's MBT model, life is like a movie. Your Mom AND YOU are NOT the CHARACTERS (what Campbell calls AVATARS)) you played, or currently play, in the movie. You are the ACTORS! - The powerful, unassailable, ETERNAL Spirits (what Campbell calls Individuated Units of Consciousness - IUOCs) that had (and are having, in your case) a temporary Human experience.
      As the ACTORS in the movie, you cannot die or be harmed in any way. Death, harm, disease, or suffering can happen only to the avatars you play. Your Mom can get back in the movie as a new character, or once your character dies, you can both choose to star as new characters in a completely different movie. It's likely you and your Mom"s IUOCs starred in many movies together, where you both played many different characters in many different relationships. The love between your IUOCs is far, far deeper and richer than any single human relationship could ever be! It is that way with ALL of your loved ones.
      Campbell doesn't want you to BELIEVE any of this. He wants you to EXPERIENCE it personally and make up your own mind. Though you don't see it in these short videos, his videotaped sessions in cities all over the world focus on how to Experience MBT after he presents the basic model.

      18: But be glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
      19: I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and be glad in my people; no more shall be heard in it the sound of weeping and the cry of distress.
      Revelation 21 4: he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away."

    I think the real question is what is the purpose of evolution or the purpose of the purpose of evolution and this question can loop infinitely around. It is suspicious that such error-loop questions exist.

    • @andrewstrakele6815
      @andrewstrakele6815 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Liuon - Happy New Year, Liuon!
      By having the Virtual Reality evolve due to a Rule Set, rather than having each detail programmed, the processing costs and maintenance of the system are reduced. I think it is also the best way to produce novel and complex information structures. Campbell believes the Larger Consciousness System is very efficient with its resources.
      Evolution CAN proceed infinitely. I don't see that as an issue. I don't see where the PURPOSE of evolution is an infinite loop. Perhaps you can elaborate?

    • @AlexisOGrekos
      @AlexisOGrekos 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Happy new year to you too Andrew!
      The loop that I see in my mind, is more philosophical rather than practical. The loop exists when you try to untie the knots of the purpose, like you did yourself. The purpose of evolution as you said is to make one more efficient system (first untie). What is the purpose of the purpose of evolution (the purpose of a more efficient system as the second untie)? What about the third or the fourth untie? And as you go on you will find yourself in a position where you can't quite answer and you will always find something else to ask.
      There are other philosophical questions like that which are infinite loops, like: If there is a God, who put him? And if we know who put the God here, we will ask who is the one who is the one that put the last here? And the loop goes on and on. (You can always replace the God with the "Maker of the System" perhaps, or the "System" itself, or the "Virtual Reality" or something else).
      Sorry for the long answer, hope you got what I meant to say.

    • @andrewstrakele6815
      @andrewstrakele6815 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Liuon - Thanks for your reply, Liuon! No need to apologize, I LIKE your long answer! You explained the concept well in a concise way and used a couple of examples to help aid my understanding. I find that discussing deep subjects such as this often require more depth than can be provided in a 140 character tweet.
      Rather than finding it suspicious, I find you can ask another question after ANY answer. "Why is it that way?" or "Why is that important?" can be common questions to follow most answers. I think it's a GOOD thing to be able to drill down as deep as you can. It's when the ANSWER I get is "That's just the way it is!" or "I don't know!" is when I start to get suspicious. 🙀
      Some people claim "I don't know!" is a good, humble answer. They say being skeptical is a virtue. I think it always should be balanced against being open-minded to embrace new alternatives. The advancements we've seen in science and technology come from folks who DIDN'T accept an "I don't know!" answer, but thought instead - "I'm going to find out!" and they were RELENTLESS in their quest.
      In Campbell's MBT, you could say the purpose of evolution in the virtual reality is to be more efficient in creating new ways to move towards Unconditional Love to allow the LCS and all of Creation to survive. You could then ask "Why is it important to survive?" You could then say "I enjoy the experience of existence better than non-existence." and continue from there, but I'm happy to have just the first answer to this very deep question.
      When you get to "Who created God?" or Campbell's Larger Consciousness System (LCS)? You run into the problem of being unable to see beyond the LCS. We can see the LCS through meditation or other types of Mystical Experiences, but can never get outside of it. That is required to answer that particular question. Campbell uses the analogy of intestinal bacteria. They only know food comes in one way and waste goes out the other. Never having been outside of the human body to see farms, cattle ranches, or fisheries, they can only speculate on how food is created.
      I support Campbell's MBT model because I believe it provides the best working hypothesis that is supported by current scientific, philosophical, and theological evidence. I also like that it provides answers to most deep questions, such as "What is Good and Evil?"' or "Why does God (LCS) allow bad things to happen to good people?" or "What happens when we die?" That said, I hold it only at about a 65-75% level of confidence. That level is subject to change as new evidence becomes available.

      Those questions are answered in Tom's book. Basically, there is only 1 consciousness, and some people like to call it God, others call it Source. It's everything, and nothing at the same time. It only becomes something, when it (virtually) splits to 2. The two to four, etc, ad infinitum. It's a digital system head to bottom. In fact, even our parent reality is a virtual reality. It's all nested/spawned etc. And they all serve as ways for the 1 consciousness (which is both separated in infinite pieces of consciousness across all realities, and One at the same time -- since nothing can exist outside of it), to understand itself. By living, we basically do the job in both a macroscale (where there is no meaning apart of just BE so for the whole to understand itself better by simply BEING), and a microscale (our personal evolution where we have our own goals, and even specific purposes lifetime over lifetime -- if you believe in reincarnation). It's a good system and it makes sense IMHO.

    Love= you are everyone and everything. It gets easier. Treat others as you wish to be treated, because they are you (suC). Stress is a sign of you telling yourself it is perfectly fine to take time and relax in a productive way for yourself. Form your life so you can focus on love (Serendipity (2001), About Time (2013): the mothership: For me, it was always going to be about love.
