I too am from the 1987 era and while I had my reservations about the film when I went to see it it ended up being a pretty enjoyable experience. I kind of just keep the two different films separate entirely as I feel that they are almost completely two different things. I didn’t really care for some of the story plot points, but I did actually enjoy watching this in theaters and then a second time in my home on streaming services that I have given you a bit of insight to my experience with the new movie/take on the turtles. Had the deluxe physical edition pre-ordered for Switch before I owned a PS5. I was born in 1983, so TMNT was huge in my life growing and I was really looking forward to this game. Between the long load times, the slow pacing, and the sluggish controls, it took me forever just to get to the main game because I kept turning it off during the “tutorial” portion. TMNT may have peaked with Shredder’s Revenge, the games after that haven’t been nearly as good.

Like the lingo is staying upto date but hate that they completely departed from all the crazy fun lingo of the original. They're honestly probably the main reason I know how to use cowabunga, tubular, and so many other words and these fun words really defined the characters for me. the thing that annoys me the most is that, game developers are lazy nowadays, they develop a game and when they run out of budget, they just release it incompleted. What if one day the server is no longer there and we re-install the game and it'll be the incompleted version on the game card. So frustrating
