12:47 Hey, RGT been a fan since your old intro days (I miss that intro T_T) I also just wanted to let you know there was an unofficial attachment for the N64 called TriStar 64 which allowed the playing of FamiCom, Super Famicom, and N64
saying this as someone who has an everdrive x7 they are amazing and definitely the second best option out there but now that the Summercart64 is out i recommend going with that not only is it half the price its also open source so it will constantly be getting new and innovative features
The summercart64 is a cheaper flashcart that does a lot of the same stuff as the everdrive and also has built in DD support. I personally am sticking to the everdrive(mainly because krikkz gba and snes products haven’t let me down and were built well quality wise). Either way if you go everdrive wait for the BFD deal! It’s only a few more days away
Got a Summercart too. I also have an Everdrive but the Summercart is opensource, does DD has a nicer UI with Packshots of the games and it is dirt cheap. Just 60€ including a preloaded SD Card.
As someone that lives in a PAL region, this is pretty tempting. Getting PAL carts of games you want in 2024 can be pretty hit and miss, not to mention expensive.
The summer cart 64 is better then a x7 ever drive and it sells for $50 dollars 😂 the ever diver are asome but because he didn’t have to much competition his prices were crazy
@ no! The is a different file you need on the root of the sd card you can find it easy it’s open source, but all the games yea you can just copy all the games as they come in this sd card

I have everdrives that work on the Mega SG, Super NT, and Duo. I'd imagine the Analogue 3D will be no different. At least I hope so lol. Only because they are hardware emulation, not software emulation like a Retron5. Everdrives don't work with Retron systems.
I agree with the sentiment of this video & agree that a quality flashcart is a necessary purchase for the N64 but Summercart 64 is open source, has 64DD compatibility and costs £100-£150 less than a Krikzz product to get my hands on in the UK, with a similar price difference elsewhere. Worth checking out if you haven’t already, perhaps you could do a comparison video?

Everdrive 64 is quite nice 64Drive is a bit better in terms of hardware. Interesting, open source and cheaper is the SummerCrad64, because the flashcard also plays original 64DD disk images, whereas the other two can only do that if the images were previously converted as a card version. I will vouch for the Super 64 catridge, which is that cheap red one you see everywhere. It's a clone of the Everdrive 64 v2.5, and does the same job as X5 for half the price. Also comes with an SD card ❤
The organization on that SD card's very well put together compared to the SD card I got with my Ez-Flash Parallel. It was randomly loaded with roms without me knowing. There's a lot of random DS games I never heard and sometimes in different languages. It was taking up almost all the space on the card so I deleted almost everything but the roms I recognized. It went from 16GB to just under 2GB.

Sodium is awful unfortunately. The N64 just doesn't have enough power to emulate SNES. It's more a tech demo proof of concept than a usable emulator right now. Would take some amazing feats of optimization to change that.
Everdrives are good they’ve been out for many years also everyone should go get the N64 cartridge versions of the mods of WCW Saturday Night Live WCW/NWO Virtual Pro Wrestling Salvo WWF WrestleMania X 64 Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 Freem Edition and Summit Virtual Pro Wrestling Gamma
The everdrive is an amazing bit of kit, but for me owning the original cartridges is part of being an N64 Owner. I appreciate cost of games are getting unrealistic but unfortunately that life 😂
There is so much unplayable crap that you get on these pre-loaded SD cards. It takes more time to remove all the Japanese games that require you to know the Japanese language, PAL games that don't work and glitchy games, than it takes to load your own playable ROMs that you actual want.
As you seen in the video, under the Hacks section on that SD card. If you have one of these carts, and you are a Ocarina of Time fan. You can download a ROM of Master Quest, and it plays on the N64. So you basically get a Gamecube game that runs on the N64. I'm not sure if it's the original ROM or someone has ported it. I just know that I have it, and it plays.
It was probably originally ripped from the Master Quest gamecube disc. Basically the gamecube versions of Ocarina of Time include modified n64 roms (mainly to change icon colors and some text). If you know how, you can use a hex editor to locate the roms in certain files. Ship of Harkinian (and ship 2) uses the gamecube versions of OoT and MM for it's dumping guide (it needs PAL versions for OoT and MQ, and US version for MM).
I think, equally important is getting a scaler or line doubler like the retrotink 2x, so the picture looks at least respectable on an hd tv. Or just use a tube tv
Not sure if you talked about the AA ROms, but i think this takes off the anti aliasing from the N64 games. so they dont have that blurry look. great for playing on CRT's and upscalers.
My game boy color/advance that i restored recently have ez flashes in em, honestly yeah, i think i'm gonna go everdrive for all my retro systems in the future, when you consider how expensive some of the of the best games for the older systems of gotten if your goal is simply to have them/play them on original hardware a flashcart is the way to go and you can tell all those scalpers to go effe themselves with their Pokémon carts selling at hundreds of bucks.
I remember getting the Nintendo 64 DD brand new from Nintendo. I still have it in the box and sealed. I also got the 10 games box and sealed I could play them on the 64 DD if I want to open it all.
Ordered an everdrive x7 after I got an analogue n64 pre-ordered. Have also ordered a chip with every rom, homebrew and hacked n64 game, which also has the full game gear, gamboy, gamboy colour and nes game on it. So I have absolutely everything coveted for this console. Even got myself the 4 nso wireless controllers before they sell out again on the launch of this machine.
One thing you should mention is that the X5 doesn't save games that need a Memory Card (pak) so you will need multiple Memory cards for those games, the X7 has the option to save right on the SD card for those games just something to think about if you're going for X5 or X7.
Or maybe I am wrong about this I know you can transfer saves from the Memory pack to the SD card so technically you can get by with just 1 card, not exactly sure but maybe if you can talk about that in the next video.
Affiliate links to everything are in the description. Also sorry for the weird dead air at the 6:26 mark. lol.

Not sure if you talked about the AA ROms, but i think this takes off the anti aliasing from the N64 games. so they dont have that blurry look. great for playing on CRT's and upscalers.
A yes the everdrive a cartridge that costs almost as much as an n64 bundle. And the everdrive x7 really does cost more than an 64 bundle
My face when you randomly wrote Jon sucks... and my name is Jon... and I don't suck :( .. lol
I got my N64 still works and have 4 games
Dude your video has been up for 3 hours and the sd card already sold out crazy lol hope they make more
I am planning to get Everdrive for the N64 next year with the New Analogue 64
My game boy color/advance that i restored recently have ez flashes in em, honestly yeah, i think i'm gonna go everdrive for all my retro systems in the future, when you consider how expensive some of the of the best games for the older systems of gotten if your goal is simply to have them/play them on original hardware a flashcart is the way to go and you can tell all those scalpers to go effe themselves with their Pokémon carts selling at hundreds of bucks.
Analogue 3D, Frosted Turquoise X7 and Nintendo Switch Online N64 wireless controller ordered :D
People should know you can pick up a non-Everdrive branded flash cart for well less than half the price.
I remember getting the Nintendo 64 DD brand new from Nintendo. I still have it in the box and sealed. I also got the 10 games box and sealed I could play them on the 64 DD if I want to open it all.
Summercart 64. $45. It plays DD games as well.
What HDMI solution or adapter are you using to capture the N64 footage? It looks spot on!
Have an everdrive for years now. Fun stuff.
as someone who already has most of the n64 carts and japan ones its hard to justify buying an everdrive. Plus emulation is so much better anyway imo
Man i'd love to have an Everdrive, but $129 is so steep! I only paid like $60 my N64 with two controllers and 3 games
I usually buy my flash carts from Stone Age Gamer. Good shop.
Just now 🤣 if i've had one for 5 years do i need another one?
both items are unavailable on Amazon, sold out quick
the everdrive 64 x5 is now 179.00 and the krizz everdrive 64 sd card has been removed. thanks a lot.....
