Imo, Milos is the best player to study film as a point guard. Everything he does, every step he takes is precalculated and he knows every part of the game at such a high level that it amazes me. Great video mate!
Gotta add Pablo Prigioni to that list of excellent point guards to study. Then there’s De Colo, who’s really a combo guard but a masterful player to study. His awareness and basketball IQ is off the charts. Those years of De Colo and Teodosic running the backcourt for CSKA Moscow is for sure some of the best basketball I’ve seen. Studying NBA films can be very tricky just due to the sheer speed, size, physicality & athleticism… the greatest players make it look so easy that the average spectator doesn’t know how to translate the level of what they’re watching.
I'm a clippers fan and that 2 years hurt to see him just rot on our bench. It ws tough, I knew the talent he had and he was surrounded by skilled players and great shooters but Doc Rivers did not figure it out, Hopefully he goes back to the NBA again.
He got 25 mpg his first NBA season, that's awesome. His issue in the NBA was defense, he just couldn't guard on the perimeter in the NBA, so that makes it tough to get more minutes unless you're some superstar offensive guy, had little to do with Doc. He also had injury issues, but the next season it just wasn't a good situation it seemed.
And he is able to do all of that because he is a scoring threat. He is a good shooter, his floater game is top notch and his handle is elite of the elite
He averaged 3.2 one season and 9.5 the next. Wouldn’t calling him a scoring threat. He was also plagued with injuries and was a terrible defender. 🤷🏽♂️
@@Mcali1984 dude why are you such a bitch? Guy played most of his career in Europe except that 2 seasons in the NBA. When you give me those averages can you give me a context? How many minutes did he average, was he injured, what was situation in the team? I never said the guy was MJ but watch some film dude before you hate. All that I said stands. He can do all of that stuff and in Europe he was unstoppable for some time. He came to the nba past his prime.
at the beginning, when you said that you will be able to explain the thought process of the viral pass to me, i was very skeptical but you've patiently built a case that was built well enough for me to be able to understand the viral pass even before you explained it, since we spent 6.5~ minutes solidifying an understanding around Teodosic's usage of 'tags'. i didn't know of 'tags' before this video this was informative and educative thank you ^_^
This is really cool to read! And I’m encouraged that it was explained well enough that you knew what happened before you watched it. (That was actually what I was hoping for!) thanks for commenting 🤝
Not exactly the point of the video, but thanks to your channel I also noticed two actions with 45 cuts (at 6:08 and 6:18), before watching your other video I would have thought the best option for those players was always to stay in the corner and shoot from 3.
This is one of the comments I could receive! Love hearing that you’re starting to recognize more things on the court on your own! Keep up the good work.
Its this simple, europeans in general, at least i assume, also play soccer, if you play soccer like steve nash, kobe, all the euro stars, you have better passing background as well as footwork... footwork for post moves and footwork for landing awkwardly without injury, playing on grassfields in cleats theres always unique footwork challenges, especially rainy games, turf is the worst.
Wasn't 4:46 just opened by atrocious decision making on the part of the #9 defensive big man, who was on #33? He was even told (pointed by the corner guard), to stay and not switch, and went WITH the guy pointing at him to stay, to double a man running to the wing/corner with the guy who instructed him to stay. 🤦♂. So of course his big was open for the pass. If he played less unfathomably terrible, the pistol action alone wouldn't have left the roll open, it was just horrid defensive decision making, which is simply lucky to get that kind of error in your favor
Agreed. The defense on that backside did a very poor job on that possession. But, that happens all throughout a basketball game, and the best players/teams are the ones who can capitalize as soon as the defense has a lapse like that. Great breakdown of that play.
Najbolji srpski kosarkas 21. veka. I to pisem kao grobar.

I saw Milos play in person back in 2017. He was a great point guard and a terrific shooter. Reminded me a lot of Steve Nash.
He is the BEST passer ever..!!
This guy had back luck to have doc rivers as his coach in the nba, that is why he didn't play to much in nba

I agree…plus he had that career ending injury for some, foot tendon plantar fasciitis, but luckily he recovered and prolong his career.
@@josephagustin3488he is going to retire in a season or two ~~
@@josephagustin3488He is 37 now. He is one of the best European playmakers in the history... He tried, it didn't work.

This guy is amazing i love watching him,bb is so simple with him although im partizan fan but this guy is just another level!
I agree with you. Partizan is fun to watch!
You should definitely do more passing passing breakdowns, this was a great breakdown!
Arguably one of the smartest player in euro league. He's like Steve Nash of Europe.

Came here for Milos,
subscribed for the quality.
I appreciate that! 🤝
He is top 5 best pointguards in Europe all time and probably the best passer this game has ever seen
This channel is awesome man teaches so deeply about the game. This channel is gonna help me improve my game a lot lot lot lot
I appreciate the kind words! Love hearing it’s going to be helpful for your game.

Beautiful. Great breakdown.
Thanks so much!
Awesome breakdown thanks. this is how Luka plays
could you make a video on how to organize the team as a point guard. I love to see more people getting into the euroleage.
Yes this pls
^^^ how to organize the floor and the teammates to make a play or something while handling the pressure of your defender on you
Not to mention that all of these plays were made in the past year or two, and he's 37...
thanks for the film learnt a lot 🙏
Glad to hear it!
Best passer in basketball
Amazing pg. Too bad he lacked the size and quickness to play longer in the NBA. He also came to the NBA in later stage of his career.
He's 6'5 220 he had plenty of size. Just wasn't a NBA star. 3rd guard good.
This is so useful, thank you!!
Could you please make more videos of the Euroleague ?
I plan on it 🤝 Make sure you check out the other vid I did on Partizan & Bayern

thanke for the great content!!!
You’re very welcome 🤝
Nice vid. Thabks!
You bet! Thanks for commenting
defense is always giving something up and milos is great at exploiting that
So true.
NGL my style is very much like his. pass first shoot 2nd, I see the court very well and can usually see the best pass to be made.
This kind of guy that need Lakers right now!
No matter how good he is, somebody has to catch the ball.
This is very true

Very insightful. That makes a lot of sense!
That wasn't even his best pass. Take a look at one versus Team USA in the 2016 Olympics.
"Milos has no lateral movement!!".....Why?....waiting for a reply
only serbians can understand this passings, trust me .

18 pts 12 assists average and lots of unobvious dirty plays yeah he could be the great Stockton.
Right after such videos CSKA signed nearly dead Dejan Davodovac😅
i'm sure he's watching steve nash games...
They do a lot of the same things
Really? That pass.come on kid
Is there any way to train this lol
It starts with watching a lot of film, and then a lot of 5v5 live in the half court
because he passed on his NBA career
Trash on nba hahhaa
3point3 per game player in nba,nah thanks mate he is nobody.
9.5 PPG
You still choose to judge this player by the stats even tho you saw the video, right? The guy is a brilliant passer, his ability is obvious.
Thank you for proving you don't understand basketball
@@joshchambers5163 exactly :)
I would choose this guy as a "facilitator" over that someone who got those 40k padding pts record.
