    I don't really quite like a mechanical voice in tutorials (although I must say, quite impressed at some parts where there is intonation!) but this is one of the better if not best tutorials around. It's easy to follow, step by step, and you'll get there. As a total beginner to Blender, I took about 5-6 hours just to complete this 30mins tutorial (a lot of pauses, rewind, etc.), but with some patience, you'll get there, and once you start to put in the bedroom furniture models, you kinda feel excited. I wish this tutorial could show the final rendering image though. And one more thing, the screencast keys suddenly weren't available as the video progressed, so in some parts, I kinda had to take some time to figure out and research from external sources how things were done on my own. I wish the screencast keys were available throughout. Nevertheless, great tutorial! I learnt a lot.

    Great video, quick and thorough, but here are some suggestion/ mistakes I see:
    1. You should utilise the other shader sockets (e.g. for the walls, floors and ceiling) just like you did for that wooden part next to the bed.
    2. When applying texture that aren't the colour of the material, make them non-colour data.
    3. When you have multiple textures for one material (e.g. wood roughness, wood normal), make sure to connect them with the mapping node as well. Otherwise whatever you do at the uv editor will only effect the diffuse texture in your case, not the normal or the gloss.
    4. When you were changing the scale xyz value of the texture you were doing it one by one, but you can just drag + hold your cursor above the values you want to change and whatever you type will affect the selected.

    • @architecturetopics

      Well , you just need to go from Edit to preferences then in the arch-pack addon , generate them using "Render preset thumbs" . it will take a min or 2 so leave it until it finish.

    For some reason my windows are not appearing transparentin render mode (and not showing the backgrond hdri) even though I've added the transparent BSDF to the Window Glass material. What am I doing wrong?

    • @architecturetopics
      @architecturetopics  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try hiding the glass panels first just to make sure the problem is with it, and if that's the case, you need to check the nodes connection, maybe even add a new material to the windows and give it a glass bsdf.
      We did make a short tutorial on archviz glass so check it out if needed th-cam.com/video/_96X7C-NFkU/w-d-xo.html

    Please tell me how do you select the gamma value?

    • @architecturetopics
      @architecturetopics  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For the gamma node , if you increasing the value above 1 , it would make the colors go darker , and decreasing it will do the opposite , you might saw me changing it while testing to reach the result I want.
      So, you likely need to experiment with it.
