- Fresh out of the box, the Axial RR10 Bomber RTR is quickly becoming one of my favorite RCs. In this video, I unbox the Bomber and go over all of the features.
Looking forward to customizing this thing and taking it on some crazy terrain!!

I had my eye on the RR10 Bomber for quite awhile because in all the videos I've watched of it, it looks like it out performed most every other RTR. But I'm really more into street legal looking rigs, and as I was saving up my $$ for the Bomber the Redcat Gen8 came out. And that's what I ended up buying.
Good call. Sweet rig the Gen8. The Bomber is excellent for U4 RC Racing, designed just like Full Size 2 time KING of Hmmers winner. Its fun..
Bit late to the show here😀you asked”will I ever stop being like a big kid?”well let me tell you the answer is probably a categorical NO!😂😂I m 62,just started in the hobby and your grin was no where near as big as mine when I opened the box last night😂😂 so far I ve bought 6 x 1-10 scale rigs,all by FTX as they seem to be the best value for a beginner.I bought the first one in dec last year,having progressed slightly since then I wanted one “good” rig and I chose this.
So refreshing to see ladies in this wonderful hobby,I have six now but need 8 to accommodate my wife,daughter and two granddaughters,they love it!

It's always fun watching a true unboxing video. The face can't hide the real excitement of seeing and touching (and smelling) a new RC. Thanks for the video and enjoy that Bomber.
I've owned one for around a year. First change was the steering links, they do bend easily. Second was the 2 speed trans kit. Third was new steering servo when the factory one started grinding. But very happy overall.
You’re going to have to get someone to 3D print you a new head for the driver with the pigtails hanging out the bottom of the helmet so it’s you driving. Thanks for the great video keep them coming
I'm happy to do that, if she could provide me images model using 3d photography techniques, I'm happy to re-create a 3d model of her and 3d print it.
No need for that. Just make some pigtails with yarn.
Two must do to the bomber is replace the servo and a rear sway bar
Ready To Run(RTR) is NOT cheating. There are RC enthusiasts who do not have the privilege/luxury of a hobby room or simply space for a workbench with all the lighting and appurtenances that make building from a kit reasonable tenable or practical. For many like me, sitting in the lotus position on the floor of our rented space to do maintenance, repairs, or upgrades is ALL WE HAVE!

I've installed the Vanquish Incision S.S. link kit w/steering, awesome! Definitely need to upgrade the servo, I've gone through a few servos. Looking @ either Reef's or 3 Beothers.
I installed the Axial 2 Speed Trans kit. That's been very nice. From what I've heard if you go Sensored Brushless you won't need the 2 speed.
All of my Axial RTR's have come standard with the Dean's plugs. The Gen's Ace 3S ( B-45C-5500-3S1P ) battery is the largest battery that will fit. That is the Dean's version. Had to adjust the bottom of the battery tray to fit the larger battery.

Awesome rig! I have one also..things are BEASTS! I believe the stock beadlocks can be “closed” by changing the position of the wheel halves. Axial’s site for the Bomber explains better..just an fyi🤘
Also, a rear sway bar helps with torque twist.

I'm torn between the RR10 and Gmade GOM...
I imagine it shipped with Dean's being a classic kit and probably pre-Horizon run. No Horizon logo on the box yet either.
Yeah that's my guess too. What I've hear is that people seem to prefer the bomber over the GOM, but don't have any personal experience with Gmade rigs
i would never buy a GOM... bomber is way cooler with tons of aftermarket parts, you can never go wrong with axial!
Dude, no GOM. Been there, pretty good abilities, not robust. Bomber kills it in U4. Tough.

Love that you painted it right away, it would look cool without the blue shock hardware. Have you ever dyed nylon parts before? IMHO black would be a good choice. You're getting a full garage now! Look forward to your running vid with your doggie.

Loving the new swag. I just got some t-shirts and a hat a few months ago. This truck looks nice! Only thing o own from Axial is a motor that is in my Lunchbox van. That gives me an idea. I think I'll make a lunchbox van video!

Cool unboxing vid!! Love 2.2 trucks. Super fun and capable! I don’t have a bomber but I do have a ax10 deadbolt. It’s the go to truck for hard core crawling. Currently rebuilding my daughters 2.2 wraith another awesome truck! Can’t wait to see your bomber on the rocks!! I think your going to like this rig a lot!!☠️👍😎

I have the Rock Rey too, love it.. After chopping body into pieces and shaving the spacers off to slim the panels to the cage.. Easier to work on. I built mine exactly like Hetmanski did in Radio Controlled Car Action magazine. I have a Bomber that's upgraded a lot, problem is I started a few other builds and so it sits... I'm now inspired again, thanks. I wanted the 2 to battle it out..

Can you tell me what's the difference between the Axial Capra RTR vs. The Axial Yeti 1/10 RTR vs. The Axial RR10 Bomber RTR ? I'm looking to buy one of these... Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Nice! built one part by part myself, though it seemed like alot of the good aftermarket parts were hard to find in stock. Been waiting on vanquish f9 axles for awhile now and I'm hoping this truck isn't losing support to newer models. The Bomber is probably one of the coolest, baddest rigs ever made.
Im 50 and still buying and building RCs. My wife says I'm the third kid she has. If playing with RCs at 50 is wrong, I don't want to be right.
Try a Tekin ROC 412HD sensored brushless motor. I run it in my Yeti.
Never out grow rc’s I just turned 30 not to long ago and don’t plan on stoping anytime soon lol and this is another axial in my cart also!
That looks like a good competition rig I like it. Now you said your going to put the lights on it and you should put aluminium wheels also and really bring out the appearance of the bomber

These are great rigs I upgraded to full steel links Holmes hobbies esc and a 35 turn motor two speed trans and it performs great

I forgot to mention pull the diff covers and add some marine grease to them mine didn’t have very much at all inside them
I thought RTR means it includes battery and charger. I’m interested in how much speed it has. We have to get you a good pocketknife for these unboxing.

If you want to U4 you will drop in a Tekin RX4 ESC and a ROC412HD, about 3800kv... then she'll HUNT!!

I bought this kit a couple of weeks ago to go with my wraith, subscribed to see what you do with it.
What going on with your Bomber over this last year? I bought the kit and paired it with a Moster Mamba X, sensored tekin pro4 hd 3000kv and a Spektrum S6280. I'm thinking about a DX5 (maybe a rugged like yours). great videos!
You should do a review on the rc4wd big dog triple axel boat trailer. It’s a little exspensive but a lotta cool

I'm currently trying to choose between this and a Traxxas trx4. Do you have a preference between the two?
is the 2 speed transmission absolutely needed in crawling or is that for a more top end speed or low end crawl ? I know the Trx4 has the 2 speed hi low..
Everyone says if you have a nice brushless sensored motor/ESC then it's not worth it. But I haven't tried it yet personally to say
It provides more slow crawl gear and just a touch more top
end speed.
@@GForceSS I just programmed in some expo on my DX5 rugged and it gives you a ton of low end speed. But I'm still interested in trying out the 2-speed.
Dude, 2 speeds are really just for fun. Serious U4 Racers use one speed...
You don't want the extra weight of gears, Servo or more moving parts banging over rocks and all.

I have spent way too long trying to figure out how to remote switch my light kit on the rugged. I have given up, thinking it impossible. Help please!!! I love your channel, always great information!!! Keep it up 😃
I was able to do it!! I actually am working on a video now on how to do just that. One thing that you need though for it to work is a light system with a white signal wire, not just black and red. What lighting system are you using?
Awe dang I think I might just have the two wires. It is the light kit that came with the Cross RC SG4 kit.

looks similar to my wraith, but a little higher maybe. either way its super cool ! nice early xmas :)
Similar to Wraith for sure. But this is a couple designs better suspension wise to run faster in the rough stuff. I love my Wraith though.
the RTR anything always sucks due to electronics... you should have gotten the RR10 Bomber kit version which could have saved you a ton of upgrade money.
you will need the rear sway bar, replace every links to alloy, the wheel hubs need to be replaced with Vanquish SLW (or any compatible alloy hub) those strip out easily, the axle hex hub cracks easily.
The included upgrades aren't that great. I still replaced stuff with Vanquish, Currie, etc..

I agree, but those kit parts are still way better than rtr plastic links which has no sway bars. Try using a 2600kv brushless motor and the rtr will die after an hour of abuse
