I just got the same chair given to me and it definately needs to be reupholstered. I had no idea how to even begin but this helps a lot.

I have a chair exactly like this to reupholster and I was so freaked out when I exposed the back of the chair and saw how everything was since I have never reupholstered before. I took my chair to get a quote on how much it would be to have it done professionally and decided I'm definitely going to keep trying... then I came across your video and I feel a little more confident than I did before, thank you!

I have a 1950's double rocker my dad bought for my mom at that time she had 3 little girls. It was so comfortable the bottom cushion itself had springs and a pleated curved back. I to it to an upholstery shop and had it recovered because it still had original fabric on it. I am so disappointed I never sit in it. I need to redo it and you know what your doing great job!!!!! Where did you purchase your supplies in this video to redo your chair ???? I will have to make my own pattern. But thought I could use cheap fabric before I used the fabric I want it to be. Thanks Lisa

Wow. I too have a chair very much like this that I inherited. It's been a family favorite but several cats over years have left their "claw" marks. This was very well detailed and simple instructions to follow. I'm going to give it a try!

Wonderful job! I've got a settee similar to your chair that I'm looking to convert from button tufted on the back to fluted, so this video is helping me organize my thoughts.

Do you have a list of all tools and materials used. Asking as a beginner of reupholstering.

How much fabric did you or should you buy?

I have a chair exactly like this that I've deconstructed, however, I'm not personally a fan of the fluted look... is it possible to make the back piece smooth??

Looking at the chair a couple of years later, I say it is definitely an option.

@@ProcrasCreationDIY Thanks for the response! I'm struggling trying to imagine how to still secure the foam in place and keep it smooth
