I was at a store looking for sweets, and jokingly said to myself "Why is it called Cheesecake if it has a pie crust?" Some guy next to me overheard and got into my face and threatened to hit me. I have no idea what I did.

I was on a bus, and asked an older African woman if she mind in I sat next to her. She progressively got angry over the president approving gay marriage. I have no idea how it involved me asking for a seat, but that happened.
My sister in law got mad at my wife and I because we had to move out of the small apartment we were all living in when my wife got pregnant. We needed more room for the baby and we told her several months in advance we’d move to our own place once the lease ran out. She refused to talk to us and somehow had trouble finding a new apartment (she refused to simply look for a roommate) and apparently told members of their family we made her homeless. She hasn’t spoken to us in 5 years.

Sounds like you guys are much better off without her. You've already got one kid to look after, you don't need your sister-in-law to be your second kid.
Working circulation at a library. Dude got pissy we a) didn't know his Gmail password, b) didn't know his recovery email, and c) didn't know what recovery phone number he used
My mother once got to the point of almost screaming at me, because I said you don't get tigers in Africa.
The worst part is, my mother is very bright and knows more about animals than I ever will, yet she just got it stuck in her head one day at random that Tigers come from Africa and when I disagreed she flew off the handle

I'm less "emotionally intelligent" than the average person, so I don't always understand why people react the way they do. For example: I understand that my former coworker was offended by me saying, "What's with the fan?" In reference to a big industrial fan, he'd pointed at the ceiling and turned on during a not particularly warm December day. What I don't understand is WHY that offended him. Or why, more importantly, it offended him so much that his immediate gut reaction was to scream, "F YOU! SHUT THE F UP!! I'M GETTING TIRED OF YOUR EFFING ATTITUDE!!! I'M GONNA GONNA BEAT THE F OUT OF YOU!!!!"
For the record, I was this guy's team lead and senior by 5 years at the time. And I'd never spoken to him with any attitude that I'm aware of.

I had a customer when I worked at Arby's get mad at me and called me racist for not accepting their coupon. It was my first day back from my days off so I had no idea we had new coupons cause I thought the old ones had expired. And the guy, who was black, accused me of being racist. They even wrote a letter and everything, I remember the words "racist microgressions of the South (I live in Arkansas)"... Like I wasn't being racist I would have said that to any customer of any skin color cause I was stupid and wasn't informed by my manager that we had new coupons out when I got back to work. Plus how is it racist to say "oh sorry we don't accept these coupons anymore, they're expired"....
My mom got mad at me because i called her out for throwing something away that didn't belong to her, and she asked everyone else *but* me! Pissed me off! She knew she was wrong, too!

My sneezes and coughs actually sound similar.
So much so that whenever I do either, my family would ask whether or not I sneezed or coughed.

I'm a bisexual guy and corrected one of my oldest friends who thought I did the vogue dance with a lesbian friend at homecoming one year. She literally never talked to me again after that. All I said was, "I was the goth crossdresser not the Madonna fan". There was a gay guy obsessed with her at my school.
Burped loudly in class during quiet time. It caused the teacher to jump and scream.
I got detention for that, but never served it because the principal overrode it. I heard him laughing hysterically as I left the office.
Brother got in a shouting match with me over a lawn mower.

Colleague refused to speak to me or acknowledge my existence for a month until the line managers got so fed up with her attitude and pulled us all into a meeting. She was upset with me because I had to step out of the office after she started yelling and getting angry over another colleague (who wasn't there) whilst talking to one of the line managers. I get very panicky and anxious when angry people start yelling really loud. So I had to withdraw myself from the scene to prevent an incoming panic attack. Me stepping out of the office for 10 minutes insulted her and she said that her getting mad at another colleague had nothing to do with me.
She also gave me the same silent treatment after I told her off after she sent a rude message to a new member of staff. They were asking a simple question because, you know, they are new? And this little brat decided to slap her back with a "I don't have a crystal ball" comment.
At my old job, I was training a new hire on the register, which meant I couldn't walk away and leave her by herself. A guy came in asking for a brand of dog food. I told him which aisle it was in, what side of the aisle, and even which shelf it was on (it wasn't a very big store). He found it within 30 seconds, but yelled at me for not walking over there with him. He got exactly what he was looking for right away with clear instructions, but he was furious that I didn't hold his hand while doing so.
They got mad at me b/c I liked the phone I had.
They had gotten a new phone and wanted me to be jelous of them!
Instead I was genuinely happy for them but b/c I didn't instantly smash my phone out of anger, they gor mad at me!
This happened yesterday, I was walking back to my department from the backroom and passed by a regular customer, her mom and her adult daughter (I’m assuming). The daughter was sitting in the basket and turned around and said hello to me. I was way too tired to say hello back (I’m not talkative). They got mad at me saying that all of us employees are stuck up a-holes. People like this make me never want to talk ever.
My first grade teacher was furious with me for accidentally spilling water on the floor. She began the conversation by grabbing my shoulders and saying "YOU LOOK ME IN THE EYES RIGHT NOW."
Same first grade teacher would get mad at me for crying in class, making me cry even harder.
Partially unrelated, but same first grade teacher accused me, a 7 year old, of sexually pleasuring myself in class when all I was doing was zipping up my zipper. She berated me in the hallway and I had no idea what she was talking about since I was 7 and did not understand these things. She then met with my mother and berated her about it until she cried.
Same first grade teacher also had a student teacher in her class. This student teacher would shout at me, a 7 year old, during popcorn reading for losing my spot in the book.
In first grade, we would sometimes switch classrooms and teachers for literacy hour. This other first grade teacher went utterly ballistic, full on screaming in my face, because I was "holding the scissors the wrong way." She then showed me how to hold the scissors the right way, which was exactly how I'd been holding them.
Needles to say, that year traumatized me and it took years of healing and therapy to recover from it.

I moved house when I was around 10 and became friends with most of the kids on my new street. My neighbours were these two kids that were a little older than me (13f and 15m) and we got along pretty well, until one day the girl wouldn’t talk to me. Whenever I asked what I did and why she wasn’t talking to me she’d tell her brother to tell me “you know what you did”, except… I didn’t know, and that’s why I asked. She literally never spoke a word to me again and to this day I don’t know what I did.
My ex “coworkers” got mad at me because after I asked IT about a process it turned out I was right and that my supervisor was gaslighting me into thinking I was wrong, because she didn’t want to follow the real process. Turns out they don’t like when anything breaks their fantasy that everything is fine.
My wife lost her mind when I threw away the last few bites of mango rice. She was mad at me for a week. I bought another one for her the next day with her favorite frap, but she didn't care. But cared enough to eat and drink the food tho 🙄
I said “see ya later alligator” and he cried and said he’s not an alligator! I looked at him confused, laughed and went home. We were 9.
I could write a book about all the things my mom got mad at me, my siblings, my dad and many other people...over the STUPIDEST things! There are punishments I endured that to this day I still have no idea why they even happened. She will either never admit that these happened or justify her actions that we were "disobeying God at the time" and that ALWAYS needs to be punished as we needed to be shamed and corrected.
My mom once got mad on my behalf at a restaurant because they messed up my order. Humiliating.
I once asked about a part of Anne Frank's diary, and was told that I had personally wronged everyone who ever read it.
My mom thought I was putting spoons in the dishwasher the wrong way (upside down), full out screaming in my face, red as a damn tomato and shit. A few months later she was whining to my dad about it and he admit it was him, instead of screaming at him too she politely asked him not to do it anymore.
For literally nothing.
Had a roomie making dinner and she was in a bad mood for some fuckin' reason. I come downstairs, grab the food and she snaps at me. I asked her what is wrong and she yells at me for something general that I had nothing to do with. I told her "You're yelling at me over nothing" and she yells "It's not nothing!" to the point where I just walked away, she then got pissy, turned off the internet to spite me, and a week later I moved out.
during a school event some people with dogs passed by. everyone in my class went crazy over the dogs but i didnt wanna get involved bc dogs were a bit scary to me, so when they asked why i didnt go pet the dogs i just said sorry i just dont like dogs all that much and would rather read my book. instant silent treatment from the whole class for several days. we were in 6th grade.
My husbands ex wife got mad because I waved at her. Filed a contempt of court.
I had a 46 year old F coworker get pissed off because I didn't smile and say good morning in a friendly enough way. I was having a really hard time with depression, which everyone knew, and brought her 4 dozen eggs for free like I had been for months, gave them to her and said here's some eggs for you. She got so pissed and ass hurt because I should've smiled and looked her in the eye.
Ma'am I just gave you 4 dozen free organic eggs and I'm depressed as hell and barely made it here. Get over yourself. No more free eggs for her.
A coworker got pissed because I was on time every day and made the first pot of coffee. He didn’t like how I made the coffee. What a moron.
I've had a lot of these. The most recent? "taking time to think in a strategy game.."
another most recent? the person was wrong over their own critique of my critique of something and thought that I couldn't possibly be right...

In elementary school I was sent to the office during lunch. I asked why and they told me "you know why". I did not.... so I asked again and again they insisted I knew why. Then they demanded I tell them why I was in trouble. I again explained I didn't know so they informed me that I was going to get detention but they would make it a suspension if I didn't admit to what I did. Suffice to say I received a two day in school suspension and never found out why. They didn't tell my parents and neither did I probably because nobody knew what the fuck happened. Part of me wants to return to that school and see if they kept my records but this was over 30 years ago so I doubt they still exist.
Being thorough with my words and not dumbing things down. This didn't even have anything to do with a field of expertise. It was just me trying to make sure I understood what they were saying and vice versa
My ex girlfriend got mad at me because I talked to another girl in her dreams. I thought she was joking and brushed it off by saying DW babe I still love you. Turns out that was pretty much all she needed to confirm her suspicions and she went to stay with her mother. They both sent me messages about how the subconscious is very rarely wrong and that I was obviously cheating. I'm a patient man but after 2 days of it, I told her not to message me anymore.
A Chinese woman should know better than to assume:
A. All Asians are Chinese
B. All Chinese people speak the same dialect when there are 302 languages that can be considered "Chinese"
I'm a white American and even I know this, what's her excuse?

My sister always gets mad at me when I don’t answer her. Like b, I have my phone on do not disturb mode for a reason. I don’t need to be interrupted for having a little me time. (Because I always take care of my sisters dog, and also have to take care of my dads koi pond whenever they’re not at home… ).
As for me...
* When I told somebody that was unemployed about a job I think would fit them.
* When I did't have the same sexual orientation as them.
